Purchased a **** kia ****** for ****** down on ******* car. Went less than 40 miles before breaking down leaving me stranded for 3 hours and now they expect me to pay for tow bill plus ****** for repairs on the car I had for less than an hour and wont refund my down payment.Business response

********************* did indeed purchase a **** Kia ****** on 06/18/22. This is an 18 year old car, with high miles. She purchased it AS-IS, nothing promised or implied.
When she notified us of an issue, the vehicle was towed in at her request. Diagnosed and priced repairs. Vista Auto Sales offered to cover 1/2 of the cost of the part, upon receiving a paid invoice and a statement that repairs have been completed. Customer did not accept the offer. This offer was made as a goodwill effort.
At Vista Auto sales, we strive to maintain a high level of customer service and maintain integrity. However, you cannot please all the people all the time.

I went to this dealership and test drove a 2003 Hyundai elantra. Before the test drive, my boyfriend asked what was wrong with it, and the sales guy said "nothing its a repo and we just want to get rid of it". So I test drove the car. First the battery was dead, the sales guy said it had just been a while since it was ran. We jumped it and within the first 5 mins I knew that the CV axle needed replaced, and the crack in the windshield. I was willing to deal with those issues. So I signed the papers and put down $500 down-payment and started a lease. The very next morning, on October 3rd, the check engine light came on when I started the car. I went to O'Reilly auto parts and ran the diagnostics tool, it came back with 2 codes. One for the O2 sensor and one for the catalytic converter. Just to be absolutely sure, I took it to Joy's auto in Caldwell and had them run a diagnostic test as well and it came back with 1 code for the catalytic converter. **** ****** did indeed purchase a vehicle from Vista Auto Sales on Oct 02, 2021. She, as well as her boyfriend took the car for an extended drive (approx 30 minutes) Father was present as well. They stated that they were looking for a very inexpensive vehicle, which this one was. This car was sold AS-IS, nothing promised or implied. see attached documents. If customer desires to purchase a different vehicle, this can be arranged. However, she needs to qualify for it, She was offered different cars at time of purchase according to the sales person. They choose this one and declined to look at any other cars.
We attempt to always deal with the highest level of honesty and integrity.
However, you cannot please all people all the time.

I am rejecting this response because: We did not take the car for a 30 min test drive. Check the cameras. You'll see we were gone maybe 15 minutes. Also, comment that nothing was promised or implied is absolutely false. We were promised AND it was implied by the sales person exact words of 'NOTHINGS wrong with the vehicle. All our vehicles have safety checks before we put them on the lot for sale. This one is only so cheap because it was a repo and we just want it gone" Again, check the cameras for this conversation. I guarantee It proves my word to be truth.
