      If at all possible avoid doing business with CUMIS Insurance Society, Inc.May 27, 2021 while leaving the local State Employees Credit Union I was knocked down on the hard tile floor by the opening of a heavy door. Ive spent over $12,000 in medical treatments, I still suffer pain every day. ***** has not reimbursed me one cent. They have lied and cheated this entire time. They even stated that the **** had no responsibility for the accident. BUT, before ***** hit there were barriers up around the door that hit me. When ***** came the barriers were removed to make room for the sanitation table. The barriers were never replaced to protect people from getting hit by the door. They have not listened to me or cared what I have said. They are big with clever lawyers so they can step all over honesty, justice and pain. What a shame.

      I called to cancel my account on the day that they charged my bank account (Jan 4, 2024). They refused to refund me for January claiming that they actually charged my bank on Jan 2nd and that it was too late to get a refund for the month. I wanted to just cancel online but that wasn't even an option. I got this insurance because it was through my Credit Union, but I'm now dropping them now, too. They've both proven to be big disappointments.

      Was considering this company regarding the offer via Navy Federal Credit Union collaboration. After reading these complaints and so glad I did, I will not require their services. A company is only as good as it's worst reviews. There appears to be a trend with the services provided by CMFG and the trend is in deep decline. No thanks and best of luck.

      TRUSTAGE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE! GO ELSEWHERE! I would give zero stars if I could. We recently cancelled a term life policy and was only refunded $19 from the 4yrs that we were paying premiums. They stated that we are not entitled to Premium refunds. I spoke with our new life insurance agent, as well as my old one with Colonial Penn, and they both stated that it was false information on TruStage behalf. I cancelled my policy back in 2019 and was refunded my premiums. I cancelled with Colonial Penn and was refunded my premiums. My father cancelled with AARP and was refunded his premiums. All were term life insurance policies! I will speak against TruStage for all who will listen. We are all covered with Primerca now and in much better hands.

      This is the worst company ever, they want you to make a payment & when u do they say they haven't received it & then want you to pay hundreds of dollars to reinstate your policy for what this is RIDICULOUS. Need to look elsewhere

      I would not give this company even a one. This is the most horrific process that I’ve ever dealt with in my life and to consider that this company takes care of claims at the end of one’s life when their love ones are grieving is just unfathomable. 1) their employees lied to me through the entire process. Telling me my “claim had been processed and funds were transferring via direct deposit”. I went through this every day of three weeks. Lies on lies of which “now it’s being processed.” Talk about a company based on lies, which lead me to believe that this is a fraudulent scam company of which I still have not received any benefits from my mothers life insurance policy which she paid for diligently with her social security to be sure that I weren’t left doing it all alone and with the only income I have which provides for three children. 2) I’ve been told for three weeks straight that “no supervisor is available.” From the first call? I was told that a supervisor would call me back when one is available and here we are three weeks later and more than a dozen requests later for a supervisor!! This company should not be responsible for life insurance as they do not do their job, they lie each time you call, and no supervisor ever works for this company. I believe that this is a scam company at this point!!

      I got life insurance with them in November 2021, I realized I was paying to much and when I called to cancel and spoke to *** I forgot to ask for my money back. When I received a text saying money would come out of my account I called back and spoke to ***** and said I wanted my money refunded and she said it wasn't possible. Then I said I was filing a complaint with BBB and she gave me to ****** and she was no help either even though I told her nobody told me I wouldn't get my money back.

      Ever since the company changed I have had nothing but trouble with this. Today I had to call on a question about my **** (again)/ I had to go all the way to the supervisor over 90 cents. The supervisor was very rude to me and I ended up cancelling my policy. They do not accommodate you in any way. It was fine before they changed. And they need to get better supervisors...she all but hung up on me. Goodbye TruStage
