I hired this company to do lighting and outlets with wiring for a basement remodel. After I complained about the job not being completed, which was the lack of outlets, no lighting (even when two were contracted in our bid) and no smoke detector (also in bid). The owner said he was done and would not be returning to complete the work after we paid our cost of $1578. After I posted that I would not recommend him due to him being unprofessional via text and not completing the job, he threatened to *** me and texted and emailed multiple times in one day and threatened to call my employer and the ***********************. I didnt respond until I told him I feel Im being harassed. Please do not contact me via text email or phone. Please discontinue all communication to while he replied that I was harassing him and i should be proud of myself as a good teacher. He was very rude to me for not responding to his threats of legal action. Messages and emails from him are attached as well as contracted bid.Business response

If you could provide me the email address to provide you with my response of her a complaint to the BBB , as I will provide you with a very lengthy response of denial to this complaint and will provide you of rest the real story in what really happened and help you understand what shes trying to do with documents from the city of waterloo, proposals and support of slanderous and blackmail remarks by ************** to me Personally and professionally to try to get more then was agreed to , I have also obtained a attorney to protect myself as her actions has me very concerned with my safety, and I am in the process of filing a complaint with the ********************************* ***** along with the waterloo school district ***** of ********* showing she using with her position with the schools system as shes spreading very false information towards me to obtain work for free.
I look very forward to having you hear my side of this Complain,

Hello,
I am making a rejection to the response regarding my complaint for case #********. The business owner, Scott, has now claimed that I am blackmailing him and has threatened to call the board of education and my employer to try to cause reprimand for my complaint to the BBB. He has claimed i am using my position at *************** to spread my false claims which 1. I do not work for ***************s, and 2. I have only posted where my neighbors can see. He also claimed that he fears he and his staff are in danger. I have never made any sort of threat or anger towards him. He has no proof that I have tried to blackmail or threaten him because it isnt true. He is also claiming Im trying to get work for free, which I have only requested a billing reduction since the work was not completed and I had to pay someone else to finish it because he refused. I am willing to provide any and all records to prove that I have not contacted him since I asked him to finish the job other than asking him to discontinue contact with me due to him sending multiple messages and emails to me threatening legal action for my post stating I would not recommend him to my neighbors (on my neighborhood app which is available to people living in my neighborhood, none of which was false).
I believe that he was angry that I wasnt understanding the work that wasnt completed and is trying to intimidate me as a young homeowner into allowing someone older to take advantage of me financially. I am only requesting a refund for the work that was not completed as stated in our contract, not a total refund. I am not contacting him and there is no proof that I have ever threatened or blackmailed him. I personally feel as though I am being attacked for making this complaint which goes to show exactly the point of my complaint.
Once again, I am willing to provide whichever documentation you would like that I havent at this point. I can also get phone records if it gets to that point in this complaint. I refuse to allow a business owner to bully me into taking my complaint down when he did not complete his work and it has now cost me even more since I have now hired someone else who completed the work that I paid Scott Jordan to complete.
Please let me know what I can provide to prove my case.
I also am wondering if there is a way to get this business owner to tell the board of education that his claims were false against me in the case that my appeal is approved and I am sided with in this case.

I completely dispute her false claims,
I have obtain legal representation to stop her Unjustified claims, allegations and threats.
but I feel obligated I should respond in short to you within your process as its been requested of me,
I will give you my side of the story, (short version because the rest will come out with the legal process)
first ************* called for a quote on electrical needs as she was attempting to finish off her basement and to note had no experience or understanding of how the process worked, 1st we provided clear written proposal (but she didnt understand it ) and actually gave her many advices to help her out and to note the electrical work was completed exactly as agreed to and proposed to in writing (and then City Of Waterloo building official approved all of our work )
Now There were some issues about Plumbing (nothing to do with us) but she had to change layout around due to her lack of Experience in how construction field works and what codes really are, and she became very agitated and flustered with the whole project and then she asked us to do the needed changes (for FREE or else) and Then after that she wanted even more than the proposal was agreed to and I kindly communicated to her were happy to do so but theres a cost and then thats when it all blew up, then by her own actions there were (and are) slanderous remarks, blackmail, Harassment went and are going on against me personally and my Business , with her actions She has personally damaged our business, No we are suffering financial damages with emotional and reputation damages severely,
In summary theres much more to say but with all the damages (and continued damages ) were going the legal system to stop her actions, if you would like us to keep you in the loop of this process were happy to do so, my attorney is *************************** ,

I am rejecting this response once again,as I have stated, there is no harassment or blackmail going on from my end. I have been open and honest with Scott stating I was in no way experienced, which he has exploited. I was not given all of the work that I paid for which I why I would like to be reimbursed for my fire detector, my outlets, my switches, and my two lights, (bathroom and bedroom) which all were not installed as I paid for which was in my original complaint. Scott has not obtained proof or harassment or blackmail because I have never threatened him or his business. I am tired of fighting with someone who doesnt understand legal terms of harassment and blackmail and throws those terms out trying to get me in trouble. I have only posted my complaint about him in my neighborhood app and have never posted to my public social media. You can also ask Scott about the voicemail I left him in regards to me feeling he wasnt reading my messages as I intended and I was hoping I was also misunderstanding his tone from his messages. I kindly asked him in my voicemail if he would be willing to talk on the phone or in person so we could both be on the same page about how to move forward, which was completely ignored by him. I am not asking for a total refund, once again. I am asking for a return for the work that wasnt complete and I had to pay someone else to do and buy material for (switches and outlets and fire detector)
please let me know once again how I can prove my case which is that I was financially taken advantage of for my lack of experience personally, although I did not go into it blindly, as my father gave me suggestions since he has built an entire basement by himself with no professional help. I just want to be given the money that was taken from me unfairly.
