      I had Imperial stone do quarts in my kitchen and two baths. After spending almost **** you would expect a quality job but that's not what I had received. What I did get was wrong cuts, seam where no seam was suppose to be and a broken sink that they broke that took two months to be replace. After four month from the install date the job still is not fixed right.

      The job was done correctly. A seam was put in the master bathroom splash due to length. Often times, splash is seamed so it does not break during transportation. The homeowner was not happy with that answer so Imperial Stone agreed to remake it. If it broke during transportation, then he would need to keep the backsplash he had. There was no stone remaining for the job. Homeowner agreed to wait for the next bundle of stone. Splash was going to be remade and the sink would be hung on the same date. It took a few months due to waiting for the stone arrival. Splash was installed in 1 piece and sink was hung. The wall in the master bathroom was not straight so the homeowner wanted Imperial Stone to scribe it into the wall. Imperial Stone cannot cut into drywall. If the walls are not straight it is recommended to fill gap with paintable caulk and paint down to it and this will solve the issue without damaging the wall. The homeowner did not want to do that. He then called Imperial Stone and asked if we would make a piece of side splash. When he was scribing the backsplash into the wall it made the side splash too short due to the depth he cut into the wall. He was willing to provide measurements and pay for the piece since it was short due to his actions. The following week the homeowner sent a picture showing the side splash was short after scribing the backsplash to the wall. In order to make the piece he needed we requested measurements. It was $75.00 to remake the piece which was less expensive than the square footage of the stone. Homeowner then became upset after stating we would not remake the side splash for free. Homeowner then threatened to slander Imperial Stone if we refused the make the piece for him. It is no fault of Imperial Stone that the homeowner decided to scribe the splash into the wall causing the side splash to be too short. We will not remake the side plash for free as it was not our error.

      I purchased new granite countertops. I asked them specifically if they service the Cedar Rapids area. They said yes, they come to Cedar Rapids regularly. They didn't install top on cabinet as directed. They came back to remove top so cabinet could be refaced by another contractor. He said he would come back out to reinstall countertop. I texted and called the owner to let him know that cabinet was done & top needed to be reinstalled. I was once told that the owner would come to reinstall. He never showed up. I continued texting and calling owner, but was totally ignored for over a month! I then emailed the salesperson who attempted to be a go-between. This continued for a week. I was then told that I needed to pay $150 to have them come to reinstall top! I refused. My cabinet contractor took his time to install the top correctly on cabinet. I feel that Imperial Stone should pay my contractor for his time. Don't choose them!

      We understand you are frustrated. However, cabinets need to be completely ready at time of installation which was explained to you. You signed a terms & conditions agreement. In that agreement it states if additional trips need to be made there will be additional service fees applied. You refused to pay a 2nd install fee. The top was removed so the cabinet could be refaced. We were happy to return to your home to reinstall a top for $150.00. You refused to pay that fee. The contractor charged you to re-install the countertop. Why would you pay him and not us? We never agreed to re-install for free.
