The refund was requested on 8/7, but was Rejected/Declined on 8/8 by the credit card. Our system doesn't tell us why it was declined. We will remove the card from our system and request the refund in the amount of $21.98 to sent by check. It will take 4-6 weeks to receive it.

Do not sign up for a subscription because they give you no way to cancel it online, other than calling them and waiting on hold to speak to someone in a call center in the ***********. It is totally unacceptable to entrap people into a subscription like this. If I can sign up online, its only right I should be able to cancel online anytime too. Do better.Lee Enterprises Incorporated Response

They make it impossible to cancel a subscription. There is an automated calling service and when you say you want to cancel your subscription you are told to leave your number and someone will call you back and it hangs up. They of course never call back.Lee Enterprises Incorporated Response

I love the *** Post Dispatch, but whoever *** is contracting with for their billing and customer service should be replaced with a company that can actually do both. I called to cancel many times, finally got the delivery charge to stop, I never received even 1 paper. Digial stopped allowing me to see comments. I called 2 or 3 more times and was told "it's a known issue and they are working on it". After a few more months of waiting for the fix I call and cancelled all together. I removed my credit card from my account, now it shows I'm deliquent 2 months. Holy Cow!Lee Enterprises Incorporated Response

I have been paying for the Pantagraph under a valid credit card number for years. I got a letter regarding an invalid credit card number saying that they couldnt put it through. I said not to try to bill under that invalid number, as they have been using the correct number for years. They ended my subscription. **************** couldnt see all the payments Id made and the valid credit card they had been using. Resolution was to give my valid credit card number again that they have been using. From a customer service perspective, they were not helpful or particularly interested in my issueLee Enterprises Incorporated Response

We followed up with ***** by phone. After she spoke to our call center, she called her credit card company and was told recurring charges had been linked from the canceled (years ago due to theft) credit card account number to the new credit card number. This is why our system displayed the canceled account number while the recurring charge continued to process. The issue has been resolved.Review from Carrie S

This "business" makes it incredibly difficult to cancel a subscription and then when you FINALLY get a customer service rep to confirm your account is cancelled (after first saying they cannot find an account in your name.) and you will no longer be billed, you get another bill!!I unfortunately signed up for two newspaper subscriptions for a low initial fee and when I cancelled both subscriptions, they both send continue to send bills saying I owe money. One says I owe them $54.60 but does not say for what! They charge $4.99 just to send you a bill! I am not paying them a dime. I cancelled both subscriptions and was assured they were cancelled. Unbelievably horrible way to operate a business. Fraudulent!Lee Enterprises Incorporated Response

****************** had 2 accounts. On the first account, we credited her the $4.99 renewal bill fee and the subscription is scheduled to stop at the end of the term in January. The other account was canceled in October for non-payment and the balance was written off on December 15.

In the first review I read, I find that I am not the only one to have a problem to simply cancel my subscription to the ****************** I have a auto-renewal pay plan, which I thought was the best deal for myself and the paper- big mistake! I found out now that I want to leave, that they practically own you. What a runaround! Three phone calls, six emails a visit with my Bank representative and I still have no confirmation that my subscription is cancelled. I followed all the rules for cancelling but no one listens. This is a horrible way to run a business that is obviously floundering for survival. If they could produce a paper that was halfway readable, it would be feasible to keep, but it sucks!Lee Enterprises Incorporated Response

I have never had to spend so much time and effort to cancel a newspaper subscription that I was told could be managed online. Then when I finally talk to a real person, they try to keep you by offering low-ball offers. This company has driven local newspapers into the ground with their mismanagement. They have completely removed the personal touch like so many other American companies today that think everything can be done online and with bots. Sad to see print newspapers going out of business, but they did this to themselves by going the route of taking the local aspect out of their product.Lee Enterprises Incorporated Response
