I have never seen a company that goes over and beyond for their customers making sure everything is done with excellence. Materials, Warranty and Pricing were the best compared to other competitors. I am very satisfied with the work they did on *******.Would definitely use them again and refer to my friends/family.Thank you again Kapili!

This whole involvement with Kapili has brought me so much stress and its been nothing but a nightmare!First of all, I was going to do roofing and solar which would have cost approximately $100K. I spoke to ***************** to make sure the work will be done in 2022 so that I wouldnt have to wait a whole year to get my tax credit. He assured me that they will get me scheduled. That all changed when I made my $6K deposit in October, I get an email saying they would get to me in May 2023, IF weather permits! I contacted *** to cancel the solar project and just do the roofing and asked him actually to refund my deposit. After that conversation, they were able to have my roof replaced in January 2023. Well, they damaged my ceiling by using nails too long that went right through the wood. When I confronted ******* about it, he tells me this is "common practice". He said that he would like to have the chance to fix it and his painting crew would come to putty it and paint. Well, they were here today, They did not file any nails down or sand down where the holes are, all they did was paint over it. From what I am told, the painting crew has heard many complaints from customers for same issue. The paint job is terrible and the color is off. I dont know why these types of companies stay in business. $35K is not easy to come by and I have a Mother in a wheelchair that has to endure the smell of the paint. Once the roofing was done, it should have been over but my nightmare is still continuing with this company. I requested an invoice and only got a text from ******* Kapili Roofing saying that after my file's final review, she will send out the final invoice??? We chose this company because of the Local ownership. When I asked for the owner **** to come, ******* told me **** is retired and has nothing to do with the company any more. Is this why they are going downhill? After any of the jobs, no one came to do an inspection. Totally unprofessional. Just be warned.

*****, Thanks for your feedback. I've reviewed your file again, and it looks like we spoke yesterday. We are apologize for what has occurred. As mentioned previously, there was an anomaly in the thickness of your open beam roof due to previous builders. Most typically it is 3/4", however your sheathing was much thinner. We utilized fasteners that are of appropriate thickness for an open beam roof and manufacturers guidelines. Without us having sheathed the roof originally, would not have known what the thickness of the wood is. We have photos of the painting prep work, and completion documented in our photo feed the day after this work had been completed. We are not done yet with close out, hence the reason for no final walk through. Typically we wait until all pre-final punch has been completed, then send one of the same people that came out for pre-inspection to do your post-inspection. We apologize for the inconvenience, and got our painters to make the touch *** almost immediately after occurring. There have been multiple phone conversations where we have been trying to work with you to resolve this, and each time are taken aback by the review later left online. A conversation was just had yesterday, letting you know that we have final painting work to complete, and you seemed ok with this. No roofer, and no business is perfect, but as a business we are judged in how we handle things when they veer off the planned path. We have been making every effort to resolve the situation due to the conditions that were present on your home in a timely manner due to conditions present on your home that were outside of our ability to control. We hope that you allow us the opportunity to complete the final painting touch *** as we had agreed to Friday, and we can bring this project to 100% close. Mahalo

Aloha, My name is *************************, I placed an add for a roofing repair and a person by the name of ***************************, answered tha AD under the pretense (i later found out) of representing Kapili Roofing and He claim to be the field inspector, negotiator and bids for your company. After reviewing Kapili roofing and paint "stellar" records and high rating as well as a well established company. We went ahead and awarded the contract to *************************** to do the roof repairs and paint. A total of $13,300. We entered into contact and he submitted a contract listing ******************* ****** LLC as the company "owned by ******" He then proceeded to tell us that he is a "subcontractor" for Kapili Roofing and has his own roofing company called ******************* ****** LLC. but had an understanding between Kapili Roofing and PRCH LLC that his company would do the work and that all payment should be made directly to him. He ,*************************** did the work "very poorly" and walked out on the job at only a 1/4 way done.....Badly I might add.I called Kapili Roofing and spoke to Mr ******* which he confirm unequivocally (in his own word) " ma'am, we don't have nor do we know anyone by the name of *************************** or even ******************* ****** LLC. ?? I reported PRCH LLC to the **** (*******************************************) and filed a complaint with **** ********************* complaints office) and was told by the office field investigator of **** that *************************** has no license to do any types of ********************** NOR paint.This is NOT a complaint against Kapili Roofing just to let them know that this Individual *************************** dba PRCH LLC is riding under the good name and rating of Kapili Roofing to basically scam people. Unfortunately we fell victim to his scam and don't want this happen to any other person. Be aware!!.

We do not subcontract any of our roof work, and take pride in the fact that we self perform 100% of our roofing trade work. Good detailed estimate. Painting job done by *** and his crew was excellent. He was easy to work with. Clean-up was well done.
