In January, 2021 Accurate Plumbing installed a 40 gallon water heater at my residence. I didn't notice till about a year later (2022) that there was a a pool of water on the top of the water heater, the source being the hot water connection. ********************************* was installing another water heater for me, looked at the water, and said the connection needs to be tightened. About a year later (April 2023) I noticed that the hot water ****** was rusting and I notified Accurate Plumbing, and ******* dropped by to sand the ****** down and said it should be good. Yesterday (Monday, June 27, 2023) I noticed the ****** rusting again. I contacted Accurate Plumbing again and ******* called me. I tried to explain to him my perspective but I couldn't get more than a sentence off without him interrupting with questions, which would have been answered if I had the opportunity to explain. A few words were exchanged, I hung up, and he called back saying that I was rude. I told him that from my perspective he was the one that was rude, continually interruptine me and saying that I was wasting his time.

      Aloha,

We are writing in response to ************************************* and his complaint. He called us back in March of 2022 to hook up a new water heater for his home. While our plumbers were there, he asked if they could look at another water heater that we installed back in January of 2021 (they have 2), because there seemed to be moisture or a tiny drip of some sort on the nut. Our plumber tied up the nut, dried it up, and showed ***** that there was no leak, AT NO CHARGE. ********************************* called us back again in April of 2023, stating that the ****** was *************** we look at the water heater again. Our plumbers went there a second time to assess that there still was NO LEAK, but ******* did take the time to sand down the ***** ****** and black-taped it for added measure, and ***** was very thankful. We DID NOT CHARGE ***** for doing this for him, even though it was obviously a manufacturers issue, not a plumbing issue. ************************** called the manufacturer, as it states on the water heater itself to do if there's any issues with the heater. The manufacturer apparently stated that the ***** ****** is an environmental issue, therefore they would be sending ************************** a new ******. ***** basically wanted us to replace the new ****** at no charge to him, and to take up payment with the manufacturer. We already went there the first and second time FOR FREE to address the situation. There was still no leak but now the issue was the ***** ******. We didn't feel it was fair or proper to do that again, especially since the ****** being rusted was of no fault of ours. Also, it needs to be noted that the sticker on the water heater itself advises for the owner to call them directly if any issues with the heater arises, NOT the plumber who installed it. All our plumber wanted to know was who was going to be responsible for the bill for our end of the work. We didn't feel it was fair or proper for us to keep going back and to do this for free. It's also not proper to have us chase our payment for services rendered. We can't afford to keep going back and forth, with the price of gas and cost of doing business in ****** we literally can't afford it. Time is money, and money and time can't be wasted, especially in ******.

We are beyond disappointed that ********************************* continues to choose the route of filing complaints about people that have bent over backwards to help him in the past. We have been doing business with ********************************* and his wife since 2008, and they have called us to do a couple dozen various plumbing work for them throughout all these years. He sent a complaint about us back in 2008 I believe with *****************************, all because he claimed that I didn't call him back about scheduling a job. I in fact did leave a voicemail on his cell phone to call about scheduling a time to do the contract. I didn't know that his cell phone was giving him problems at the time, and he apologized for that. We still continued to do work for him, even though his letter could've been detrimental to our livelihood, mainly because we knew and respected his parents tremendously. We also know his brother; our families have worked with one another for years at their former place of business. In the very last email we received from *********************************, he stated that our relationship is "irreparably damaged" due to the phone conversation he and the plumber had. We are fine with no longer doing business with ********************************* if that is how he feels. We wish him luck in his future business interactions.

I would like to please edit the date of installation of 2nd water heater to March of 2022, not ***************** initial response.

I called Accurate Plumbing to install a 40 gallon water heater in January 2021 and I paid $1100.00 for the purchase of the heater, delivery and installation as well as moving the old water heater to my front yard.  In March of 2022 I needed another water heater installed so I called Accurate Plumbing.  At that time I noticed a pool of water around the hot water ****** as well as on the top of the water heater cover.  Accurate Plumbing acknowledges that the plumber tightened the connection to the hot water ****** and wiped up all of the water and said that I should be fine.  It wasn't fine - a year later the hot water had signs of rust on it.  Accurate Plumbing claims it's a manufacturer's problem and I dispute that claim.

The cold water ****** is rust free and both the ******* on the second water heater that it installed for me are also rust free; the only ****** that has rust is the hot water ******, the one where the water was dripping from.  I assert that it is poor workmanship that led water to leak from the hot water connection (the connection was not tighten enough to prevent leakage).  Thus, it is not a manufacturer problem or defect but rusting caused by poor plumbing workmanship.  If Accurate Plumbing had properly installed the water heater there would be no water leakage and it should what it can to correct that error.

Everything else in it's response has nothing to do with this complaint - why Accurate Plumbing feels it's necessary to mention irrelevant information to this complaint is beyond me.
