A $300 deposit was made to hold an event at Natsunoya Tea House for Saturday 9/5/2020. Due to COVID restrictions and no indoor events being available to be held at that time the event was cancelled. In August 2020 I had called to cancel the event as restrictions were still in place. I was told then that they had just received their PPP monies and that they would begin issuing refunds by sending out checks for the deposit that was made. I know that the business has been open for sometime for take-out lunches and catering. I was told I could use my deposit money towards those services or have my deposit refunded. I choose to have my deposit refunded and have been calling every month to follow up. On my most recent call on 5/14/21 I was told that they have only completed issuing refunds for events from Mar/Apr of 2020. I do not see how this business can continue to hold onto our deposits while taking new deposits for other events and still being open for business although limited.
