Roof was replaced on rental property on or about Dec, I had requested proof of completion as well as proof of any additional repairs if needed, prior to work being performed. The quoted amount was $5450.00. I received the bill on 10 Dec for $5800 with an additional charge of $350.00 for replacing 5 sheets of plywood. I asked for proof of work and received photos 12 days later via text on 22 Dec of the finished work, however no pictures of any damaged areas of the roof that needed repair. I asked for these pictures via text, and was told I am a "shady fellow", and was threaten with legal action if I did not pay in full by the following Monday (which is the Monday after Christmas) or he (**** ******) would put a lien on my house. Today is Christmas Eve and any checks mailed today would not arrive prior to Monday. I offered to pay via debit, but was told it would be an additional 2% fee. I have no issue paying the agreed upon amount without the additional fees, or added unverified repairs - I am also willing to pay for the repairs if JCB can verity they did actually perform the repairs. I have attached the invoice which has a modified date on it of 8 Dec, Not sure if the work had been performed prior to the invoice creation- so I'm not sure how they could know they needed to replace 5 sheets of plywood before they took the old shingles off. I can provide copies of text if needed i.e. name calling, threats, etc.Business response

I filed a complaint against JCB Roofing, and the issue has been resolved. I am happy with the resolution. I attempted to log back-in to the complaint however it would not allow me to.
