I bought a car from harmons about late December I have the car about a year . I have tried several times before this major problem occurred ti get help with this car from harmons. They don't have a mechanic to fix on cars so I had to deal with it I have spent about a lil over **** in maintenance. I Put **** down owe **** left the motor is gone in the car due to massive oil leaks check engine light is on it took me over a year just to pass admissions. I'm just trying to get this problem solved with the best results so in the future other people don't have to deal with things like this. ITS NO FAIR TO WORK HARD GETA CAR AND CANT GET HELP TO FIX IT FROM THE ***** YOU GOT IT FROM IF U CAN PAY FOR THE REAPIRS. I don't recommend anybody buy a car from this place. As previously stated, the vehicle was purchased over a year ago and at that time was purchased "AS IS" We do not maintain vehicles after they are sold. It is up the the purchaser to maintain their own cars.Customer response

Complaint: 19874439I am rejecting this response because: The simple fact when I went back before the car had any damages and only had check engine light out theyvstill did not want to help how do u help someone even if u wanted 2 they don't have a mechanic so they couldn't help anyway . I drove the car off lot with no oil so what does that tell you like they sold a car without maintenance done before i bought it like let's be real they sold me a messed up car now they don't want nothing to do with it ...Sincerely,***************************Business response

I went to buy a car I didn't have all the money for down payment so I put 350 down told them I would be back ok it took me a week to come up with another 400 and then I payed it and *** said I could not get the car till I payed a payment on it and I told him I couldn't do that today and I told him to give me back my money he told me no he was keeping it I said you you stole my money and he told me he would come acrossed the desk and kick. My a** well he stole my money and won't give it back this was on tue the 29th day of Nov 2022Business response

************** came in on November 18, 2022 and left a non-refundable deposit of $350.00 on a **** Kia ******** The agreement was that he was supposed to come back the same day and pay $400.00. We were going to deliver the car on that day and he was supposed to pay the remainder of the down payment, in the amount of $500.00 in 2 weeks from that time. He didnt return until about 2 weeks later. Because ************** did not come back as agreed, he voided his deposit.Initial Complaint

Customer came into the store and said 1 of the bunkies was defective. I advised her to bring the 1 bunkie into the store and swap it out for another one. After this, her daughter called and said she did not want either one and wanted to change for a different kind of mattress. At this point, she said both bunkies were defective. As I explained to them, any warranty would have come from the mattress company. All I can do is exchange for the same item.

April 15th 2022 went to a used car dealership it's actually a Buy Here Pay Here dealership because my credit is not so good I ended up financing a **** Cadillac SRX test drove it $2,000 down and $300 a month for three years the same day I must immediately after I left the parking lot of the dealership with my vehicle the check engine light came on. I hooked up the *** code reader and 3 codes came up I also took it to AutoZone where they printed me out the code Codes for all of the problems that came up in on a vehicle. On April 18th I headed over to a mechanical shop but they advised me to First go get the vehicle inspected which I took the vehicle to get inspected and it failed for Readiness and a bunch of other things the inspector himself told me that somebody on hook the battery for 15 minutes then I hooked it back up and reset the monitors and codes on the vehicle which can allow the vehicle's engine light to come on off the dash anywhere from 100 to 300 miles and that's how it was able to pass admissions on the 27th of July 2021 July 26 2021 it failed inspection for Readiness the same thing that's consisted here with the recent inspection also the recent inspector had stated that the readiness is not set yet. Same day I ended up also going over to Clean Air Force filed a report with them give them all my documents sales papers everything. April 19th I went back over to Georgia's Clean Air Force to give him the remaining documents and fill out the complaint form for used car sales they got all my information I went about my business I also filed a report with ftcc ************************ they took my report and also state highway traffic whatever for the check engine light. I attempted to go to the dealership on Monday the 18th of April they were closed or closed Sundays and Mondays I ended up coming back to the dealership Tuesday April 19th text informing what was going on they admitted that they never personally got that vehicle inspected by the emissions beBusiness response

Ms **** purchased a **** Cadillac *** on 4/15/22. The vehicle already had an emissions test done on 7/27/21, prior to us purchasing it. The emissions test is valid until 7/27/22. After purchasing the **** Ms **** came back in and the vehicle had a check engine light on. We gave Ms **** a loaner vehicle and replaced 2 sensors. On that day, we did offer to refund her down payment but she insisted that she loved the vehicle and wanted to keep it. The *** was returned to Ms **** but evidently the check engine light came back on. We have already asked Ms **** to bring the vehicle back to find out why the check engine light came back on but she has not done so. We also offered to swap out to another car. The vehicle she purchased was sold "As Is" but as a courtesy to her, we have been trying to resolve the check engine light.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:They refused to give me my money back and in order for **** to fix vehicle they want me to pay for towing which will cost me over $200 that i don't have. The dealership never personally had this vehicle inspected before selling me car off lot. They're using the previous owners emissions from last year where they disconnected the battery waited 15 minutes put the battery up to clear all the monitors and codes before going to emissions so check engine lights have been tampered with according to recent inspection done on vehicle. I aleo requested they give me invoice for repairs recently done on car and they refuse. When they had the vehicle for two days and gave me a loaner and a check engine light came back on it's reading the same problem that had when I dropped it off which is ********* 2. If they're willing to come and get the vehicle and bring it to the dealership and repair the issues with it than maybe we can get some issues resolved.

I tried to respond back to the last email or message sent by the dealership resolving the issue through you guys and it won't allow me to respond any further what I was going to say was that vehicle is not titled into that dealership. Whether the vehicle was previously inspected or not it was from last year and they did not have that vehicle inspected bought currently by that dealership when they bought it I'm unable to get tags with the with the vehicle's condition currently the vehicle does not start it's stuck in park it's been at my house for several days there's no way for me to even transport the vehicle to their lot if I wanted to because it does not start and the tow company will not do it if it's stuck in park meanwhile it still will not pass current emissionsmissions I told you I recently had that done on that vehicle before it stops moving so I'm unable to get tags and meanwhile I still have to pay them $300 a month they're not telling you the truth but the truth will come out you have to legally register the vehicle in your name before selling a vehicle whether it's a business or a private owner to anybody

I am rejecting this response because: first of all the dealership promised to fix the problems including the check engine light on the vehicle. At the time that we discussed them fixing that check engine light they were also notified that the vehicle is stuck in park and will not start it's been like that for over 10 days now they told me they wanted me to pay for towng and have it delivered to the dealership for repairs and I quote the owner / credit manager stated *** stated out of his own mouth that due to litigation between me and Better Business Bureau because you have reported my business I'm no longer going to repair anything take us to court is exact words. Along with six other consumers with the same issues these poor customers even to this day cannot get tagged because emissions have failed and they're having all these problems I have substantial evidence proving that they have never had that vehicle inspected by the dealership they used an inspection from the previous owner from last year I have all the documentation to prove that and will send that for the case. With that being said the salesperson also admitted that the vehicle was not inspected by the physical dealership themselves prior to selling me the vehicle that it was already had emissions from the person before. I have documentation from the inspector that I current that I had it occurred in emissions on it done on the 18th of April. And it failed emissions. This dealership really does need to get investigated there has been other local agencies agencies that I have filed complaints with that are looking into the matters more severely than this which is just as severe because I'm stuck here now with a vehicle that can't get tags on it that supposedly pass emissions how come when I ask them to show me the emissions paperwork they failed or refuse to do so. They knew that there were problems with this vehicle before they sold it to me on the lot I was definitely defrauded among 6 other consumers.
