      On February 08,2022, i took my truck **** Chevolet Silverado **** to Atlas Transmission on **************************************************************, for repair and rebuild the trans. he quote the work would take 4-5 days I called Atlas 6 days later to get the status of my truck repair, he said my truck wood be ready the next day. I didn't pick-up my truck until February 17,2022 ,10 days later, the cost was $2,613.00 when i looked the truck over and was about to open my hood, the inside hood release handle was broken, i called sunny the owner of Atlas an informed hem of the damage to my truck hood handle he said bring back tomorrow and i will look at it i took it back to hem, he look at an said his mechanic said he had trouble opening the hood so i said he broke it , he said yes but the handle is made of plastic, i said Ok but he broke the handle, he said yes but it was plastic,i said it was working when you got the vehicle so your mechanic broke my hood handle are you going to repair it, he said he wood put on but i wood have to buy it,and was not paying for it and it was not his Responsibility to pay for it, he is liable to all damages occurred to vehicle in his possession, hood release handle, Check engine oil level light stay on and the oil level is right, Fluids spill by mechanic all over the under hood, This is the most Non-professionalism in the highest degree, and the owner, Sunny needs to be held accountable for His Actions.

      When the customer brought his **** ***** Silverado for transmission repair, the technician has to open the hood not knowing the condition of the hood release latch that it is already been fatigued. The hood release latch is made plastic and has been in service since the make of the vehicle (that is 22 years in operation). It is a coincidence that we tried to open and the plastic broke.
      We offer to install the part at no charge if customer provided the part. He declined. We are not responsible for brittle plastic part as they start to deteriorate over time.
      As far as the oil spillage under the hood, customer never brought to our attention. Otherwise we would have taken care of it.


      Note. We will replace the latch release if customer is willing to take his complaint off.

      I am rejecting this response because: in order for atlas transmission to do the right thing, i had to lodge a formal complaint with the ****** against atlas transmission, now he wants me to remove my complain, in order to get the repairs done, the right thing.

      I talked to sunny in good faith about my concerns the next day , i took the vehicle to him to look at , he admitted the damage was done at his shop , but he not paying for the damage, he would put the part on but he would not pay for the parts and call me crazy and walked away. So other words he was not acting in good faith, i am a customer that concerns was ignored, so my complaint will stay four other and myself. i have a 12 months warranty for the transmission work, i will have something for the records.

      We have already replied to the original complaint to resolve the issue . Seems like customer is not willing to work with us and going back and fourth not going to resolve the issue.

      We are still willing to replace the  hood latch (though it was already brittle) and he has to remove the complaint. It is up to him to decide .
