False information concerning recall for **** Focus, Performing a service without permission from client. Demanding to pay for a diagnostic test that was not approved by car owner. Not having the part for a recall after informing the client that it was available. Costing client money for having to tow the vehicle to the dealership shop thinking that the recall would be performed. I need to get my car back to my home. I called the Headquarters of the **** Company, the company informed me that the part has not been available since July 2023. I was lured in by ********************* to complete a recall on my **** Focus, the *** recall which he knew that he could not perform. Telling me that my car would not start when it perfectly started with me and the tow technician. Nothing but lies from this service department of Loganville Ford.

We ******** the vehicle back to the customer today. The recall parts are showing to be available but as the customer stated, that's not correct. Our mistake all the way around.

I Found a car in ******* (I live in *****) last month on Auto Trader. After I called the dealership and indicated I wanted to buy the car, the salesman added and additional $2,121.00 in dealer fees and increased transportation costs. After questioning those fees, dealer agreed to remove the $995.00 "Dealer Prep" and lower the transportation cost to that advertised on Auto Trader. After agreeing to buy the car, I still wasn't happy about the $799.00 "Doc Fee" the dealer insisted on collecting in addition to the Auto Trader advertised price. A few days later, I discovered through ****** that, according to Georgia Consumer Law ******************* OF LAW CONSUMER PROTECTION DIVISION AUTO ADVERTISING AND SALES PRACTICES ENFORCEMENT POLICIES), dealers MUST include all but government fees in the advertised sales price of the vehicle. Loganville Ford violated that requirement. Via email, I contacted them this morning, April 8, 2023, informing ************************* (General Sales Manager) that I expected a refund of the Doc Fee. He called me immediately quite angry and personally offensive saying I had agreed to buy the car and he wasn't going to refund the doc fee. He seems to believe that because I agreed to buy the car, with the Doc Fee included, that he is not at fault and did nothing wrong. Thus this complaint.Georgia Law is so perfectly explicit on this subject, I cannot believe a reputable car dealership would so blatantly violate it. I quote the law in part:"Advertised prices must state the actual total purchase price of the vehicle, excluding only government fees, which include tax, tag, title and ************************* Law fees. All additional fees must be included in the advertised price. By way of illustration only, the following are examples of fees that MUST be included in the advertised price of vehicles: '...document fees and dealer preparation fees...' "I have documents to support every aspect of my complaint.

His refund has been requested. He failed to mention the free items he was given in lieu of his issue.

I will accept the refund to satisfy this complaint once received.  If not received within five business days, I will provide additional information.

Note: "Free Items" mentioned were a set of used floor mats.  They were provided specifically because the dealership only could provide one key FOB.  On modern automobiles a backup key is essential.  ************************, in ******, charges over $400.00 for a replacement.

I have had a truck in the ****************** at Loganville Ford since July 7th 2022. They are supposed to be putting an engine in the vehicle. I found out today (March 15, 2023) that the engine was not shipped again, and it has been put on backorder for another 6 weeks. In October 2022 Loganville Ford had me pay for 50% of the $12,000 they are charging me.

The parts for this customer Have been on the highest level of priority since he approved the repair in October. It is on Back Order from the supplier and the customer has been advised of that. We have no control over the parts supplier and are certainly anxious to complete the repair. The deposit is required to ensure that the parts in this costly repair are indeed desired by the customer. I advised the customer the he was welcome to retrieve his vehicle at no cost and try another route for repairs. The customer is under the impression that we are ****************** and somehow have influence in gaining access to a part that is on back order. We would prefer to have all parts available when needed, but unfortunately that's not the case in todays environment. Alternative resources or aftermarket suppliers were unable to help.

Recently we visited (October) the lube place to have an oil change on my sons 2018 Raptor,. Well they Failed to mention there was an oil leak & in reading the paperwork later came to this on our own. I then of course revisited the shop to Express my disappointment & concern with the gentleman whom helped me. In November (before Thanksgiving) my son whom plays in the Minor Leagues for the Red Sox was home and prior to arriving home made an appointment to drop his truck off to have the oil issue repaired. Get it back & 2 weeks later is home for Christmas to then find another issue-a leak. So while he was at my parents in ******* my Dad checked all the fluids In everything: oil, transmission, brake, power steering, over flow, coolant-Everything was Full. So then they got underneath the truck and my Dad took dry white paper towels to blot to see if anything showed up. Well they then noticed a Major issue-the metal bar (it has 2 bolts on each side of it) under the oil pan. Well 1 bolt had No nut on the other end so you could slide it out & all of the other 3 would slide back & forth-they werent tight nor fitted together. Then I phoned and spoke to your Service Manager **** & shared this with ******** Dissatisfaction in the work that had been done! He assured me that he would see to it that it was fixed! And by the way the nut was found in the pan. So we get his truck back before Christmas from yall & with the holidays he hasnt driven it until this past Sunday, January 1st-6 mins away from our house to play golf with his HS friends & 6 mins back home. On Monday, January 2nd at 8am, he left to go to ******* for Spring Training. When he arrived he phoned to tell me that about the last hour when he would turn the wheel he could hear a clanking noise and a hissing sound. I asked him if he felt it in the steering and the floor ********** said yes. He took It to the **** dealer there on Tuesday. During this I have come up on Tuesday and spoke to **** & shared all of this & even said What have yall done NOW to my sons truck? So meanwhile why **** had my sons truck he had to rent a *********** was a cost with that. The **** dealership phoned him on Wednesday to ask if someone has worked on his truck lately and he shared what all has been done in the last month in addition to the loose bolts as well. The Service guy said to my son that when the oil pan repair was done that they didnt tighten Any if the suspension bolts-My reaction was WHAT This is a Huge concern and its NOT being taken likely with me! It shouldnt with you either-my Son could have crashed, died , etc in his 10 hour drive on *********** would have been in your companies hands!!I dont feel that this issue at hand is being taken seriously!!! And this is a Serious issue at hand!!!!

This transaction took place December 12th 2022, I paid 82 dollars for the oil change. I did not receive any oil back into my car. I drove my engine with barley any oil. They showed no concern about my engines damage and just refilled my oil and attempted to send me on my way. They have given me two separate receipts, attached below. This dealership does not have any clue what is taking place in any department.

I requested that the dealership check the rear alignment/thrust angle on my F-150 because it's not driving straight. I specifically told them the front end alignment was fine but that the rear alignment seemed to be off. The dealership called me later that day and said my vehicle was fixed and ready for pick up. When I went to pick it up on 12/5/22, an employee at the dealership tells me after I pay, "it looks like we didn't do anything to it". I looked over the alignment read outs after he said that and it was obvious that nothing had been done to the truck. They may have put the truck on the alignment rack and checked it, but they did not put a wrench on it. They certainly didn't do anything to the rear suspension which is why the truck was there in the first place. I know they have to check the alignment obviously, but they didn't "fix it" as claimed or do anything about the rear alignment like I asked for. If they couldn't repair it or if they found nothing wrong, then why not just tell me that? why tell em it was fixed? And why would their own employee tell me that they didn't touch it? I understand they would need to still be paid for their time, but I was charged $130 for an alignment the truck didn't even need with nothing done on my complaint. The dealership didn't address the reason I brought my truck into the shop and had no communication with me and that's the main problem here. There's a big difference between inspecting an alignment and actually performing one which is what I was charged for. My shop has 2 different jobs for that very reason, so why don't they? I tried to talk to the service manager **, but all he wanted to do was argue with me and talk to me like I was stupid. He claimed they had the alignment on video, but I would've never known that and why would his own employee say otherwise? A complete and total scam.

after purchasing a new 2019 **** superduty, it burned and incinerated. We asked Loganville Ford for some help in recovering some of our losses that the insurance didnt pay. we lost 25K. Loganville ford promised to put us back into another truck with losses calculated and applied to a new truck. The truck was brand new and only had 10k miles on it when it burst into flames. We have waited 2 years now and they have turned us away when we asked fore help. today i called the general manager to ask for the last time for help. He got very angry and starting cursing and threating to cause bodily harm. I called the sheriff and made a report to the threats and will be sending one to the dealership owner and to **** CEO. The statute of limitations is now up and Loganville ford days that your on your own. So now its my turn to tell my story and file a complaint to the BBB. The general manager seems ok until you ask for help then the horrible attitude starts. Name calling, threats of bodily harm and pure hatred towards us.

******************** concern is with his insurance company. His complaint is clearly that. If his insurance company has issue with the product, they should contact with ******************* That information was given to him at the time of his loss. We simply told him that we would take into consideration that his loss was unfortunate and try to assist him in repurchasing a vehicle. We've heard nothing in two years other than his daughter's attempt to purchase a vehicle and his demands for an unreasonable discount on that vehicle. He called and stated he was coming after one of the managers at which time we contacted the police. The police have our complaint as of today. In his ****** post he stated that the statue of limitations has expired. We have no idea to what he is referring. He has not spoken to the General Manager.

I am rejecting this response because: Their response is a lie and they are only doing damage control. They have lied from day one about putting us into another vehicle. He also lies about the police report as as he is now answering for making terroristic threats made to me by ***** the general sales manager. His father lets him run the place like a child with no accountability.I also have the sheriff report in which he made threats. The problem is they sold us a vehicle with known fire hazzard issues. They knew it was a faulty truck. Take the money and run. They told us they would help and turned their backs. These words were strait from *************************. He got violently ppsychotic and started threating me because i pointed out to him that he was wrong and cowardly on how he treated us as customers. Our response is with Loganville Ford. They sold us the truck. They seem to represent **** during the sale, but run and hide when there are issues after the sale. ***** stated that he has offered to help but has NOT !!!!!! Very crooked and shady to deal with. Buyer Beware

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

This entire issue is simply that it's up to his insurance company to represent his position. If they felt that the vehicle was faulty, they should contact ******************* We did not sell a vehicle that had any known issues or recalls at the time of sale. This is a two year old item that the consumer has suddenly created a return to issue. We offered to take into consideration his loss but again we are not the insurance company or ******************* His complaint should be directed to them if he feels his vehicle was defective. His loss occurred 10K miles after purchase. According to Carfax, his last maintenance service was performed elsewhere, *********** ****** **. Personal issues between himself and our sales manager are independent of the vehicle loss. There is no further opportunity to assist the consumer in this matter.

Loganville Ford is a complete liar. I never stated that I spoke with the General Manager, I spoke with the General Sales manager. I didnt say that i was coming after a manager, What i said was will you help me ? ***** went off on a pshychotic breakdown cursing and threatening me for informing him of my intent to go to social media and BBB about the issue. I called and ***** took the call we talked for a moment and i politley asked him one last time for his help. He said no, as i expected. I let him know that we have waited two years patiently with no results. We were promised help because their defective superduty truck burst into flames while we were traveling down the interstate. *************************, The sales manager said that he would get his area **** rep to make concessions and he would do the same from his dealership to put us back in a like truck. The truck only had 10k miles. We been lied to and cursed at and threatened bodily harm from *************************. I filed a criminal warrant on ***************** for his threats, and are awaiting a pending court date for him to answer for his offenses. They have offered every lie that you can imagine, They are in damage control at the moment responding to my reviews and complaints with pure dishonesty. They know that they are in the wrong and are lying in their responses. Notice that three different people from their company has responded to my various reviews, the only person that I have dealt with is *****. I have never threatened anyone as their response states. *****, what is the name of the person I threatened ? I dont remember because it never happened. It was you who made the threats. I will do everything within my power to keep another consumer from being mistreated like you have treated me.

One of Mr. ******** sales people has since informed me that they knew about the fire hazzard with the trucks and chose to sell them regardless. At least someone there has a heart. He didnt have to tell me this but he did. I was also informed that its cheaper for them to settle a wrongful death suit than to make the proper adjustments and repairs.

      Business response

      07/20/2022

There has been only one person responding to this complaint. This is a matter for his insurance company. If they feel there is an issue with the product, they will handle that with ******************* We have no other responsibility to this matter. As for the issue between *************** and our manager, the court will decide the outcome. We offered all the help we could. We provided and vehicle for a month plus paid a large tow bill, around $2200.00 to assist while he fought with his insurance company. Unfortunately his issue would need to be addressed with his insurance company and ***** Loganville Ford does not provide the warranty or the insurance coverage.
