In 2020 my husband and I purchased 3 appliances from Clayton Appliance. Our dishwasher was $1,400 and had a 10 year warranty. The first of December 2023 it was making a strange noise and we called about a service call and it was gonna be $165. We were told there was no warranty except on the racks even though there was an emblem on the front saying it had a 10 year warranty. We contacted someone else that came out December 12, 2023, determining it was the motor and that it was under warranty. The service call was $89. Six weeks later this guy is not responding and I filed a separate report on that company.My husband went back to Clayton appliance and they said it would be $165 to come out and $259-$300 to replace motor. My husband said we could buy a new dishwasher for that price and they agreed. Of course we will never buy another thing from them.Initial Complaint

I paid for a few appliances. And after my builder told us. We was over budget and wouldn't be able to get the per kitchen where I needed the dishwasher and and I wouldn't be able to get the extra laundry room. I called and spoke to the sales lady *******. And explain to her. How the cost of all the material for the home has gone up so much the way we was going to have the house was not going to be able to be finished that way and we needed to cancel out the appliances that we pay for because we wouldn't be able to use them she said okay she will refund me the money for the two sets of washer and dryers and the two dishwashers which equal up to be $5,586 and some change she told me that's what I will receive back we never took delivery of the appliances we still page for a Sub-Zero refrigerator we will be getting back from them we pay cash for everything when it was time to receive our refund they decided to only give me back $4,1 $86.91 told me that since I changed my mind so many times about what I wanted and I special ordered something which I did not I have an email stating that I did not order anything that they was going to keep $1,396 of my money and I asked them why are you keeping my money I never took delivery of the appliances she said because I changed my mind so many times on the items that I wanted they was charging me for a storage fee they was charging me for a special delivery I mean special order items I had nothing special order but one thing which was refrigerator and I never canceled that out I still hope to receive my refrigerator I did not need to set the washer and dryer they are not special ordered I did not need the two dishwashers a KitchenAid and a g e they are not special order they're trying to tell me I special ordered arrange when I did not I have an email stating I did not order I spoke to them about it the lady sent me an email saying when I decide I want it to email her back and she will order it I never did that about the range from somewhere else because they had a better price they know that I feel like they owe me my money I never took delivery they have not special ordered anything and they sell everyday what I ordered so I would like to file a complaint I sign nothing that said I was never going to get my money back I was never told that I would not get my money back if I didn't take delivery because nothing was special order I was told that I would receive $5,586 back and some change I have put a dispute in with my credit card company for the $1,300 and think $96 or something like that I know they are going to try to fight me on it but I have not taken delivery of anything so if I have not taken delivery of anything I am due back my money because I never took delivery now if this was ********** or ****** they would just refund the money because you have not taken delivery they would cancel out the order I feel like this company is just trying to keep my money because he can but I explained to her the Builder said I need money for certain things I need to cancel out the appliances because I was not going to be needing those appliances she said okay she was sorry this is ******** he was sorry that I was going through all that and she will make sure I get my $5,586 I was sudden ******* will not talk to me and the lady named *** in the over the refunds was veryInitial Complaint

We purchased all new appliances for a custom built home in September 2019. The wine cooler had problems during the warranty period in January 2020 and Due to COVID in March 2020 they would not service as it was not an essential appliance. It is now one year and six months since it was reported and we still do not have a replacement. We have contacted company many times and they do not have a resolution. They refused to give out owner information and the manager handling the issue doesn't respond and sends us back in a circle each time. They picked up the appliance in April 2021 and we were told we would have a new one to replace. Now they are stating they need authority to do so. We made a final call on September 17 and asked for a refund or a replacement from another brand. We were told we would have a call back that day and once again we hear nothing. The cooler was ordered based on custom cabinets built for it. We have a hole in our butler pantry and need resolution.Business response

Consumer Response /* (2000, 15, 2021/10/19) */ October 19, 2021 The company sent full refund for the appliance and the case is now closed. I would like to comment that they never communicated to resolve.
