After waiting for more than 2 hours and telling me can't complete my tow service,what a waste of time. The customer representative told me to wait from 5:30 pm until 7:00pm shift until the last minute of 120 mins by telling me not able to complete my request at 7:13pm. Stay away! Ridiculous! Irresponsible! No more business! Report the business to BBB and if possible, *** the company for my time loss.

AVOID THIS DISHONEST COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. As you can see from the reviews below, this is a garbage company that cares nothing for the wellbeing of others - and they should not be given the responsibility to help others in potentially dangerous situations. My insurance company picked this place to tow my car after it would not start, in the freezing cold. I was given a 90-minute arrival time. That came and went. I called, calmly and politely asking when they would arrive. I was told they were a 'few minutes behind ... and would be there in ***** minutes' - not exactly a 'few' minutes - I let them know I needed to get to the mechanic before they closed. I was assured they would be here. After 45 minutes, I called back, still polite and calm - I was told the truck was in an intersection a few minutes away. Suddenly, nearly 2.5 hours after they were assigned, I received a text from my insurance company saying ANOTHER company was being assigned and would be there in AN HOUR. I called the towing company to ask what happened and they LIED and said my insurance cancelled it because they didn't meet my insurance's standards. When I called my insurance, they said nope - only a towing provider or customer can cancel and that the ******************** company had cancelled, without explanation. What if I had been stranded on the side of a highway, alone, in the freezing cold?When I called back - now LIVID because I was going to likely miss the mechanic as my car would not get there until after 7 pm (a 15 minute drive from where I was) - and the customer service person denied I was told the truck was nearby, LIED about the cancellation, continued to offer NO EXPLANATION or APOLOGY and just said 'We don't have a truck for you' and kept hanging up on me when I demanded an explanation. Then they refused to answer any calls. They should not be in business. The company that DID help me was amazing. This place is the absolute worst.

The towing service itself was fine. The problem I had with Hemphill was that they would not take my credit card payment at the time I was on the phone requesting the tow. Their policy is to allow payment ONLY after the car reaches its destination. I am a school bus driver and was not available to take their call when they arrived at the location because I was delivering my students. As a result, they took my car back to the original location and then charged me a towing fee for both directions - $438 rather than the $190 originally agreed to (including twice the base rate separate from the mileage). This could have been avoided if they simply had taken my payment in advance as I requested. It felt like a scam and that's a shame because the service provided was quite acceptable. Who the h*** won't take payments in advance when the service to be provided is precisely known by both parties?

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. INSURANCE COMPANIES NEED TO TAKE THEM OFF THEIR TOW LIST. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been waiting almost 3 hours for a tow. I called over 10 times, no answer just voicemail. No courtesy call and finally after my insurance company called to find why the delay, said the driver would call, no call and I'm still waiting.

I wish I could give a ZERO!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! And make sure your insurance provider knows not to use them. After 3 hours of waiting in dangerous situation with young kids in car.... I called several times throughout the 3 hours and was told shift changes were delayed but they would be there in 90 minutes, then 120 minutes... after 3 hours THEY NEVER CAME. They NEVER CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO CANCEL EITHER!! THEY TURNED PHONES OFF. UNPROFESSIONAL!!! SCAMMERS!! BUYER BEWARE!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE. DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH.
