I moved into Kingwood May 2021 at which time the water/sewer bill was $131.50/month. I have been paying this amount since that time and to this day I have never received any form of formal notification or communication that the bill has gone up. During conversation with a neighbor this week, I was made aware that the bill is now $170 per month for water and sewer alone. Upon questioning the manager regarding the matter I was informed that I now owe the company $385 in back debts plus interest. This company thinks that they have the right to 1. **** residents of $170 per month for water and sewer 2. Charge back pay despite never communicating the rise in prices. 3. Charge interest as if they are some sort of bank lender or credit card company handing out money. What are the interest rates on such stated bill? Who is governing this nonsense? We do not live in a state which drought is of concern nor is the service provided justified by the cost. This group needs to be held accountable for their actions and wrong doing against the group of residents within this community. The poor get poorer and the rich keep getting richer.
