Date of transaction 9/13/2023 Before I advise the tow truck driver where to deliver the car, cost of the job was confirmed with the driver. So I decided to take the car to the business location. Once I got to the business location to pick up my car, I was given a different price and held my car as a hostage, if I didnt pay. I tried to explain to the employee who worked at the front reception/cashier, refused to honor what I was informed by the driver. I am assuming this is one of the reason why they only accept cash. Not allowing customers to have an opportunity to dispute the charge for incorrect information. Company pricing is $125 for pick up and delivery. Company had to make 1 pit stop should be additional $62.50 based on their rates but instead they charged $300.Also they give paper receipt, which makes me believe, they are not reporting and filing taxes properly. Business this big should be paying their fair share of taxes.Business response

I called the tow lot early in the morning and the guy in the phone ran the vin i gave him, he said if i came to the lot before 8, then ill just pay 300, when i did what i asked, the other people in the lot said 440 and didnt recall what i was talking about, despite them responding to me early in the morning at 12am-1am. Then after i was forced to pay 440 to release the car, one of the employees that denied the fact another ***** in the line said 300, asked if i was ready for xmas after i just gave him almost all my money to get my car back, and in a sarcastic tone.Business response

I am sorry for any misunderstanding which may have occurred between this customer and my company. First and foremost, we have no way of "running" an individual's vin. Such a service can only be done by the police or tag office. Next, I feel it may have been a misunderstanding of the breakdown of services and payment, which would total the $440.00. We take pride in our customer ********************** and if an employee asked if an individual was ready for Christmas it was genuine. It is never a pleasant situation when having your personal vehicle impounded, especially during the holidays.
