      What a scam! I had no issues until I bought a new car. My Sunpass transponder was active and linked to my new license plate as of 6/19/23. I received 4 separate letters outlining violations from June to October. The first letter was issued October 16th, showing violations from July 10th all the way through October 16th. (The last letter was received in December for a violation in June, literally six months prior). Over 20 tolls were cited as violations, with each one having an additional $5 fee assessed. None of the transactions appeared on my Sunpass account. Normally I login to my Sunpass account to check the balance and make sure it's up to date, but no transactions appeared there for MONTHS. Since I didn't receive the letter until October, I had no way of knowing what fees were accruing. To dispute, I filled out a form online to have it investigated, only receiving an email stating that the fees are valid. There's no person on the phone number to call, just an automated system and the online payment option. Each notice has to be paid separately one at a time, and in full. I am looking into how to file a formal complaint about these issues.

      In January 2023, I received a collection notice from Professional Account Management for $447 for unpaid toll violation notices. Upon investigating with SRTA, on 16 occasions during 2021 I drove in the PeachPass lane with a deactivated transponder unbeknownst to me. SRTA also advised that they issued (only) 2 toll violation notices in 2021 for those 16 trips, but in looking at the toll violation notices, they were not sent to me, but rather they were sent to my leasing company, Chrysler Capital. When I asked why these were sent to my leasing company when the tag is clearly registered in my name (and I pay the tag fees), all they could suggest was that this was the information they were able to locate when researching my tag. So when these went unpaid for 2 years, they tacked on their fees (the toll, plus $5 fee, plus $20 penalty for each toll) and sent it off to collections. I have spoken to SRTA repeatedly about this, advising I'm happy to pay the tolls and fees ($120-ish) for my ignorance of driving with a deactivated transponder, but I should not be responsible for the $20 penalty per toll for unpaid violation notice, when the notices were not even sent to me. Falling on deaf ears....

      I received a mail communication to call SRTA to replace a transponder. I have tried multiple times to talk to someone but I am always directed to someone that is trying to sell my road side assistance, or a medical monitoring device. When I decline and ask to speak to someone about my PeachPass, they hang up on me.

      I don't deal with SRTA or intend to. Unfortunately, they send me a **** for a car that we don't own, saying there was a peach pass violation. Inspite of the fact that we explained clearly that we did not own or drive a car with that tag, they want us to go to ****************** of ******* to get clarification/clearance and send a notarized report. When is it the responsibility of someone who did not make any mistake to prove that it is the problem with SRTA, who have the wrong information. It is just harassment of the public!!
