I hired this moving company to move my items from my house to a new apartment. I paid for 2 men, each for 3 hours. Throughout the day one mover was constantly sitting down or disappearing, which at the time, I thought nothing about, maybe he needed a break. Well, when our 3 hour **** hit, with the heaviest items still on the truck, I was forced to venmo the 2 men or they said that they would leave without taking the stuff off the truck. Up until this point, I did a lot of the moving of boxes myself. I was alone so I had no choice but to send them the money. They were very threatening with their tone. Shortly after that they dropped my desk, causing it to break. I called ****, the owner, and he said originally he was going to look into it, but then told me I was lying. He said I "tipped" the movers, which I did not, I was FORCED to pay them to get my items. I brought up the fact that they dropped our desk and broke it and he basically just said it's not his problem. Ultimately, I hired a service that I didn't receive.Business response

This customer ********************* is unfortunately involved in an illegal exhtortion attempt through liable and defamation! Our company UCALL&IHAUL Moving Services have been in business for more than 18 years and never experienced the false accusations this customer is making! We are a ********************** labor only service where the customers supply the truck and we supply the muscle. When this customer hired two of our movers for three hours it was supposed to be one load location and then travel at least 25 minutes to one unload destination. However, he added a second unload destination which caused his three hour time to expire. Instead of charging him $74.95 for the overtime hour our moving ************************* decided to provide the extra time at no charge! To show his appreciation ***** gave our company a 5star review and tipped the movers through Venmo $30.00 which is only $15.00 each. There was absolutely no forcing ***** to do anything and his desk was not broken at all. As I said earlier I believe he's just trying ruin our company's wonderful reputation in this *******, ** market.Initial Complaint

This company did not follow their standard protocol for moving furniture resulting in excessive damage to our property and belongings. They were not receptive to fixing damages. They were threatening and highly unprofessional.Business response

This is a frivolous complaint because there were some minor scrapes to a wall and a table and when our repairman called your husband ***** to set an appointment to come out and make the repairs he declined! Now days later you go on the BBB to defame our company that's been doing excellent business in the *******, ** market for more than 17 years! Shameful
