We went in for a heart scan for myself and my husband. Got taken into a room a given a hard sell about buying a very expensive imaging plan. We thought it would be so helpful. The results said my husband's heart was dangerously blocked. He went for a heart catheter test and it wasn't even blocked enough for stents. The doctor wouldn't look at or use virtual imagings disc or report. Then I went to my primary care physician and she wouldn't look at or consider any of my concerns. I took it to my bone Dr he would not view the disc or consider the report at all either. So three doctors didn't consider it helpful. We are paying monthly to Care credit (they applied for a joint account for us!) a lot of money (to me) every month for this useless "membership " my husband asked his ******* care physician if he could get the virtual colonoscopy when she said he needed one (we stupidly paid extra for virtual colonoscopies also) she said no he needs a traditional colonoscopy. What good is this imaging if doctors act annoyed when you try to give them the reports and won't use them??? I feel we got scammed!! We would like our money minus the one scan each we got, refunded to Care credit or us so we can pay off Care credit and this "lifetime membership" cancelled.Initial Complaint

I responded to a radio ad for free heart and lung scan but when I spoke to the pre-scan person, I explained that I wanted to do a full-body scan instead and would happily pay the additional fee. Then the high-pressure sales pitch started to get me to sign up for a 5-year plan with one scan per year at a cost of $205/month for 24 months and no interest fees. I was given several pages to sign/initial where highlighted (it was like a real estate closing where you're handed one sheet at a time and you sign or initial where indicated) and I went along with it, like a dummy! Five days later (today), I get a credit card statement for a new account and *****% interest rate but no interest if paid in full by Oct. 7, 2022. In looking thru my paperwork, I found a "Purchase Agreement" that I signed which states that I will pay in cash or thru their affiliated credit plan only. No other payment options and no cancellation or rescission of the agreement is possible. I don't want any further affiliation with this firm and would like to settle the issue by voiding the agreement and paying the $600 extra fee plus $230 "reading" fee (in cash) as I was originally told that I could do since I was foregoing the free heart and lung scan and doing only full-body scan which took all of 6 minutes! I will happily provide copies of all paperwork if needed and admit that I was not smart to sign everything as told to do.Business response

We sincerely apologize that your experience with virtual imaging was less than perfect. We try hard to not only to meet the expectation of our clients but to exceed those expectations. After scanning nearly ****** people here in the Atlanta area and saving hundreds of lives we can assure you that your decision to be proactive with your health was a wise one. However we realize our services may not be right for everyone and we respect our customers right to choose their health plans. Per your request we have adjusted your account to allow for a one time scan and cancelled the option for annual scans. On dec 16 2021, we had an appointment scheduled for a free heart scan. it was a couples only and you had to be married . we went in for the appoinment and they told us to have a seat in the waiting room. it looked like any other doctors office. once in waiting room i noticed patient testamonials and statered reading them and was intrupted by the man ********************* asking us to come back ... he sat and told us how we had to have this full body scan now mind you my husband was having chest pains and thats the reason we went in. he said wed be taken for our heart scan after a brief talk about this full body scan... brief took us over two hours closer to three and we were told how we neeed this full body scan and he kept us in the room so long going back and forth wanting to finiance us ,,, honestly at this time we were very tiredof being there ..it was almost like being a prisioner in that room,, we were even denied for there credit then after we were denied he asked how much money we had ..like how much do you have in your account .... when we told him he said we have special in house financing for the exact dollar amount we said we had ... ( then I see they used that line with everyone except some people said way less and were approved and the terms were different)...we did not receive a free heart scan what we recieved was a contract to be in debt and we paid for the free heart scan and developed a ****** payment for something the doctor said he cant even ue cause we went the next day for my husbands chest pains and had take all new test cause the er said they are useless to them.also the technician was very unprofessional by staying in the room with me while i changed clothes behind a halfway body screen.. this wasnt a good experience and were were basically staying there until we paid the money it felt like ...also once the test was over we were shuffled out quickly they even made my husband sign my name to get us out the door faster. i never signed this contractBusiness response

Our Operations Manager spoke with the customer on 1/12/22 regarding her experience during their appointment at Virtual Imaging on 12/12/21. Her concerns and disappointments were discussed in great detail. We value and appreciate her feedback. Virtual Imaging has issued a complete refund of all monies paid and extended the offer to screen the couple for any necessary virtual imaging scans in the future.
