When confronted, First advantage told me I needed to call ********** And that they could not or will not tell me whats on my background. Even though they reported someone elses information. They even had the wrong name, social, birthdate. But refused to make this right.

      I have been in contact with the resolutions department numerous times in the last 10 days regarding a dispute relating to a screening for an apartment. I have not only sent them the requited documents showing a paid collection relating to my rejection, but the collection has also been disputed and cleared with all credit agencies since. I am continously told that a dispute may take 30 days so they can collect information (which as previously mentioned, has been submitted). However, the apartment is only held for 2 weeks from the application date (3 more days from this submission), so not only will I be unable to get the selected apartment, I will be out $500 in application fees as I cannot wait another 2 weeks for them to continue "processing" this dispute in hopes this apartment complex will still have another open unit, on top of starting new employment and graduate school this upcoming Monday. Absolutely ludicrous I am unable to immediately speak to a supervisor regarding this issue after submitting 2 expedite requests alongside the apartment complexs expedite request. How is it that a mortgage broker can run my credit in a matter of 10 minutes but this company takes 30 days? This company is a nightmare to deal with over a simple resolution.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The number listed puts me in contact with the same group of people I have been speaking to, and I continue to be given the same responses. I have put in a request with that team to speak to a supervisor and it has since been over 24 hours waiting for a callback. This team does nothing to assist expedite the process aside from sending out emails to the processing team. Now with only 2 days left, I am still left with no options due to poor performance on the end of this company. A proper resolution to this complaint would be to ensure the job is finished in a timely matter.

      I have had to submit to a background check through this company three separate times for three entirely different companies. On their own instructions they state not to disclose any prior criminal history that's over ten years old. I have something on my history that's over 18 years old. I don't disclose it per their own instructions and what do they do? They report this information even though the **** which they include with their disclosures states that they shouldn't be disclosing outdated information that's over 7 years old. I'm not sure how they continue to get away with saying one thing then doing the complete opposite but I have now lost out on 3 job opportunities due to them pulling this bait and switch on me. I'm seriously fed up with this company going against its own instructions and then making me out to look like I'm withholding information they told me I didn't have to disclose in the first place.

      I have contacted this support line on more than one occasion and they just say they can report whatever they want no matter how old it is. If that's the case then why is there guidelines that says consumer reporting agencies may not report outdated negative information that is older than 7 years old? Why do you ask me not to disclose things past 10 years and why do you then report things well over 18 years old?! You guys are seriously ruining my life and you've done so on more than one occasion with the same charge that's beyond the scope of outdated it's outdated like 2.5x over again. Please remove it. I am seriously looking into a lawyer next.

      I am rejecting this response because: I have filed an appeal of the information and I have not heard back. I had my job offer rescinded by the company I applied to along with a very condescending letter saying that my background doesn't align not only with their company but the client they have the account with as well. So once again, I need the information removed it's 18 years old and the fact that you reply with cookie cutter responses only serves to prove my point that no one at this company cares about anyone they are only out for themselves. So, thanks for running yet another opportunity for me.

      There are two negative items on my credit report that aren't supposed to be on their someone used my identity without my consent to get some apartments and it's reporting on my file negatively, I wouldn't know but I applied for a place Downtown **, and I saw an account on there from ** and ******* I have never been to either city in my life.******* Management Company-******************************************************************************************** The *********************************************************** Following items should no longer, be reporting on my credit file, they were opened up fraudulent without my consent please remove these as soon as possible, thank you for your time and help in this matter.P.S.- I Included the gas bill, and bank statement to the address I've lived at the past 8year's at, never in ***** or D.C. These Negative items are effecting my ability to get an apartment and I Legitamately have never lived at either location please ?? remove these items from my credit file at once thank u

      I had a background check run by an apartment community. I am a KNOWN ID theft victim. ********************** claims I have an eviction. After they were provided with a police report stating it was not me but ID theft, the court records show their supposed case number does not exist and the clerk of court in that county told them herself the case was voided as ID theft they refuse to correct the report!!They do NOT need to respond by telling me to call or email disputes. Ive been dealing with this dispute for 2 weeks. It is the dispute department that has the information. They simply refuse to believe the police, the court and now the MA assistant attorney general who called with me today. They refused to say why they will not correct the report. When we finally reached someone in the *************, the US employee told the MA assistant attorney general that disputes & consumer advocacy are 100% in ***** so that NO consumer can prevail!!There are literally tens of thousands of complaints on line saying basically the same thing as the complaints here. There are hundreds of attorneys recruiting for people who have had their lives upended by First Advantage and attorneys with online videos telling people what they can do and their rights. I am a victim of ID theft!!! Its not exactly unusual these days. It was easier dealing with the *** to have income reported by this person removed from my records than dealing with First Advantage. That is NOT a joke!!

      June 10th 2024-ongoing (as of July 8th, 2024)Unknown- Employer expense Scheduling for pre-employement related tasks, mainly chain of custody and verification of drug screen and background check.First Advantage has had multiple issues throughout this process. I am a contractor working for the same computation under a different company, and have been with the corporation for almost 5 years. During this time, first my paperwork was lost, chain of custody ending with first advantage and had to be resolved on my end, after a weeks worth of time being wasted. This was during a move out of state so returning to the site was a challenge in a timely manner, as was getting said paperwork back through alternative means. Attempts to do so were rejected until I physically had to return to the site with my copy of paper work. Communication with First Advantage was slow throughout this process.After multiple weeks post screening, First Advantage held up my start date, after onboarding and training had been completed and I had been scheduled for work. This caused more of a headache, as it prevented me from starting, extended my time out of work, and strained personal budget, business reputation and personal relationships through the inconvenience. Attempting to communicate with 1st Advantage had me on the phone for over half an hour, only to be disconnected by the *** and then over another hour in wait times. All for what amounted to a signature and a change of password. Overall, the hassle has caused over $1100 personally in travel, lodging, on top of lost wages for the two weeks of lost time (averaging between 1200 and 1600 per week). It has cost my reputation at work, my personal relationships as during this move, as I was unreliable both in my departure as well as my arrival in my new home, requiring me to take on financial burden to cover the shortcomings as well as inconvenience family and friends.

      This company provides background check info to employers. I already got the job and have been working for 2 months now. But my complaint is that there are two parts of this background check that they got wrong and I don't want wrong information out there in case they share this type of info with other information checking agencies. 1st issue - Spectrum business, they say i worked there from 2014 to 2016. I actually worked there from 2014 - 2019. Then they don't list my next job which was Centurylink in which i worked from 7 2019 to 9 2020. So on the report, they are stating I have a gap of 1500 days. When in Actuality, the gap was 5 from on job to the other. As you can see, this would look very bad to a future employer. 2nd Issue is they don't list Centurylink at all, but on their first report that I disputed, they said i worked their from 1994 when I actually started July of 2019 not 1994. So there answer to this was to take the job completely out of their report and give me that 1500 day gap. This is laziness to get it right and they shouldn't get away with it. What do I want as resolution? I want them to list right information which is Time Warner/Spectrum was from May of 2014 start date to July 2019 AND Centurylink start date July 2019 to September of 2020 . Please help me fix this problem as I have put in 3 disputes now and they said in the letter I got Friday that everything is correct and it is not.

      I am rejecting this response because: I have done this now 3 times already.  Made the call, gave them proof and they send me a response saying everything is correct but all they did was take Centurylink completely out of the report and still show hundreds of days that i wasn't working which is completely not true.   They state that I worked from Spectrum 2014 to 2016.  and show a gap of 1500 days.  this is not true,  I worked for Time Warner business class starting May 2014 they were bought out by Charter Spectrum and I continued till 7 of 2019.  I supplied two documents of proof my 2017 w2 which proves I was an employee in ALL of 2017 and a November **************************************************************** 11 2018.  I worked there till 7 of *************************************************************************************************** July of 2019.  NO GAP!!!    / Second issue is they said I worked with Centurylink from 1994 to 2005, as you see from my attachements, I worked at ****** Micro from 1994 to 2005, ***** services from 12 2005 to 12 2008 so how could i have worked at Centurylink at this time.  This is just lazy reporting and is entirely wrong.  I worked at Centurylink which is now Lumen Technologies from july 2019 to 10  2020 in which I then worked for Staples Advantage from Feb 2021 to may of 2022.  for this second complaint, they are telling my future employers that i have a gap of 3276 days.  which would look bad if it were true, but this is not true and i have shown you proof with these attachements.  This company is supplying wrong information to employers and it is not right.  They are taking money from Employers and not doing there job right and they are damaging potential employees by supplying false information.  i have more proof if you need it.

      This company was medical review office that was listed on my chain of custody form for a pre employment drug screen. I contacted this company after the employer contacted me and stated that I tested positive for a prescription medication that I have a prescription for. The employer stated that I should have received a call from the mro to verify my prescription. This company stated that I was not in their system and had me send a picture of the chain of custody form to verify that they were the assigned MRO. After I sent picture evidence, I was told someone would reach out. I contacted company after someone failed to reach out they referred me to a chat and I asked to load the chain of custody form again. I did so and was told it was being sent for review. I havent heard back and my attempts to call were unsuccessful because I was transferred to a voicemail everytime. Because I was unable to verify my prescription and they prematurely sent a positive result to the employer, my offer letter was rescinded and the company says they cant hire me. I would like to be contacted by first advantage to verify my prescription to have a clear drug screen for my records.
