I was in a car accident 2/28. Not my fault. My car was totaled. My insurance company was suppose to be handling the claim for the car (Mile Auto). It has been 2 months now, they claimed to have mailed my check out but it was never received. Not by me or my finance company. When calling or emailing about it I am asked to allow more time. Theyre holding my money and now my lawyer is involved. This company should be shut down. They dont operate truthfully or under good business.Initial Complaint

Yes this insurance company is not understanding I have reached out to them numerous times about the auto payments and how hard it is to pay on the 3rd of each month they did have if where I was split paying but this time I got no attempt to withdraw from my account on the 3 but got a email saying we attempted to withdraw and were unsuccessful now your insurance is cancelled seek another insurance company immediately for continuous coverage I do not get statements in the mail or anything instead of the company offering maybe a changed payment date to help me they continued to have the payment on the 3rd and then slammed a cancellation on me my bank usually lets me know if I am being charged for something by text or email I received nothing not only that if my payment due on the 3rd and they backdated it on their documentation as if it was on the 1st of December usually insurance company give up to 10 days to pay before cancellation they did not attempt to debit my account because I would have gotten notificationInitial Complaint

This company has always sent me a text, with instructions, to update my Odometer reading in order to charge me the proper amount each month. ***** is usually around $47-$51 a month since I don't drive a ton. Yesterday I received an email from Mile Auto, with zero texts or emails before it for this prior monthly bill. That email stated that I owed them $110.75, which in the supplied statement says is for driving ***** miles. ***** would put my Odometer at ******, which is also listed on this statement. Except that I didn't drive that much, I have iron clad proof of that, which is of course my actual Odometer reading of ****** miles as of 1:25am September 9th, 2023. So they either sent a text to another ************ being charged for their miles, or even worse they're outright trying to steal from me. I will not drive my car until this is resolved, because I refuse to add a single mile to it until this is fixed by Mile Auto! I'm not trying to get something for free, I just want them to follow through with their prior good treatment of me (no problems all year, until now) and fix what is very clearly THEIR mistake & to only charge me for the miles I drove. I cannot afford to pay for other people's mistakes.Initial Complaint

My insurance coverage was canceled with no warning at all and I was involved in a accident and they don't want to cover my damages. They said they sent me notification of the cancelation but instead what I received through email was a receipt showing I paid. Then they said they mailed me something but I also never received any correspondence through mail from them. And when I originally called to report my claim the lady I talked to was the first one to tell me my policy was canceled but she didn't understand why and researched for a bit and couldn't give me answer. And that it shouldnt have been canceled. And filed my claim. And she insured me it was a mistake and my claim should go through. I feel like there lieing to me about the cancelation notice because there saying the me they sent a notice on June 17 and I've checked my emails and there's nothing. But I did receive from them my receipt of payment on June 19. Now I a damaged car they don't want to be liable for.Initial Complaint

This business charged my card for over $500 twice within a month. I have an auto policy for 2 vehicles, one with liability only. My initial quote for the policy was for a little over $200. This business is a scam and I would like a refund. They also do not answer the phone.Initial Complaint

I made my payment after several days of not being able to get anyone to answer the phones and this company accepted my payment and told me my insurance was fine and then turned around and cancelled ********* while they were closed on Christmas Eve and emailed me on Christmas day and I cannot get anyone to answer the phone again and explain to me why I got an email about a down payment and this is a policy Ive had for 6 months. This company is extremely unprofessional and they are not truthful or up front about fees that are charged and miles I never drove. This company is a scam.Initial Complaint

When I signed up for this insurance prior to agreement I specifically asked the agent 6k miles per month he stated yes I said *************** sign me up. We are on recorded call so they cant say it didnt happened that way. I contacted this company multiple times to discuss my rates and the rep was rude and I served her the same rudeness. I then reached out to make a payment which it says the account I used to signup with but of course Im sure is not my current account and if I lapse for nonpayment is because they neglect to answer my emails. I will not call again as the lady is rude and thats why they have email point of contact. I will provide ******** records and email records upon request.Business response

****************** purchased his auto insurance policy from an agent that represents *********. The quote indicates ****************** would drive each of his two vehicles ***** miles per year. ********* is a pay-per-mile auto insurance company that bills customers each month for the miles they actually drive (similar to how the power company bills for your actual usage each month). ********* is ideal for low mileage drivers. Our six month premium (the amount the customer pays) is broken down in to two parts, a fixed monthly amount and an amount per mile driven. I have attached ********************** quote (which indicates ****************** would drive each vehicle ***** miles each six months or 500 miles per month) and ********************** signed application (which indicates he'd drive each vehicle ***** miles annually. Again, 500 miles per month). At the first billing cycle, ****************** sent in odometer readings that indicated he drove one vehicle ***** miles and the other vehicle 753 miles (monthly invoice also attached). ********* bills the customer for the miles they actually drive each month, not the number of miles they estimated at policy inception. We hate that Mr. *************************** was higher than he was expecting but ********* did not change the fixed monthly amount charged per vehicle, nor did we change the amount ****************** is charged per mile that he drives. What changed was ****************** drove each vehicle more than the number of miles estimated by ****************** when he purchase a ********* policy from his insurance agent. We'd be happy to work with ****************** in any way we can to help mitigate his monthly insurance cost. I am rejecting this response because:
I never misunderstood anything, I specifically asked the rep 6k miles a month? He said yes so how did I get this wrong when I reassured to ask the question twice. I will not call in and risk getting the rude rep again. They can call and reach out to me @ **********.

WE'D BE HAPPY TO WORK WITH ****************** IN ANY WAY WE CAN TO HELP MITIGATE HIS MONTHLY INSURANCE COST. This company is a so called insurance company that uses shady practices.. once your signed up they do NOT provide any type of account information account access or any type of identification cards or insurance papers furthermore if you cancel your policy they refuse to reimburse you at all so once they take your money they dont careInitial Complaint

This company told me if I didn't sign a exclusion paper they would cancel POILICY. this company took 580 dollars out of my bank account with out my permission. They refuse to refund my money even though I do not have their insurance.Their insurance should have cancel due to me not sign paper and non payment instead they took this money out of my account.And still would have had to cancel cause waiver wasn't signed.I tried calling speaking with someone they are refusing to return money.
