I have had to call customer service for various things over the last couple of months. Not once have I encountered anything but courteous, friendly and helpful service. Today in particular I spoke to ******. She is a rock star! Went above and beyond to guide me through some upcoming procedures. Maybe I have just been lucky but I wanted to highlight the positive for a change. Too often folks just like to highlight the negative! Thank you again ******!

My prescription costs went UP from $10/month to $270. I could not find providers they would help with. DO NOT give them your money!!0

According to ***s member records, the reviewer signed up with RxSimpleShare, ***s prescription program where all 330 medications listed on the drug formulary are available for $5 each for a 30-day supply. Her claim that her prescription price went from $10 to $270 could simply not have occurred in her program, as no price hike took place, and no drug had been taken off the formulary in the past three months. The only way such an increase could have happened is if she filled her prescription outside of her RxSimpleShare program or with a pharmacy not included in its 10,000-location network. There are *******+ in-network physicians nationwide accessible to the reviewer. If she couldnt find a physician she liked or one close by, *** wouldve assisted her in locating one. If the reviewer had a concern about either of these matters during her membership, she could have called the *** member support number on her membership card for assistance and direction. She never did.

Careful when signing up. So far unhappy with what's not shared/covered though it will sound like it is. Not worth the monthly cost.

      Universal Health Fellowship, Inc. Response

      03/05/2024

Everyone who signs up with a health cost sharing program from Universal Health Fellowship receives a detailed Sharing Guidelines which specifically points out all the medical expenses that are eligible for sharing in that program. The reviewer also received that document, which she acknowledged receiving. There should be no surprises over what expenses are eligible for sharing and those that arent. And the monthly contributions for UHF sharing programs are still up to 40% less than a typical health plan monthly premium, which for thousands of UHF members across the U.S., is a cost and a savings well worth it.

I always receive great customer service! For bad reviewers, I'd say do your homework...you'll find UHF to be very fair and a good product for self employed people looking for a health program to help with costs.

Total Scam and I will be referring to the DA.Paid money when I looked for healthcare following a lay off. When I went to MD I was told this is NOT paying for anything.Total fraud

      Universal Health Fellowship, Inc. Response

      01/24/2024

The reviewer was told about, given directional materials about, and given access to any of the *******+ physicians nationwide that are in-network with his *** health cost sharing program. If he had visited any of those in-network physicians and shown his in-network credentials on his membership card to them, he would have had his eligible medical costs shared and taken care of. And he also could have spoken to any *** member support team via the phone number on his card to see how he could best receive the medical attention he was seeking while being able to share the eligible cost for the visit. But he chose not to.Members of this sharing program are aware that visits to all non-network non-primary care physicians become the patients total responsibility. These points are all emphasized in the *** Sharing Program Guidelines which the reviewer acknowledges receiving. *** resents and refutes the reviewers claims of scam and fraud, and maintains its integrity and honesty as a trusted health cost sharing program to thousands of *** members throughout the U.S.

ZERO STARS!!! This company called and sold me a policy under false pretenses! I had ************** off my job of 7 years, I was shopping around for insurance when one of their agents contacted me. When I told the agent I was looking to get MNSure he preceded to tell me I didn't qualify for state insurances even though I had ZERO income at the time. He told me that the state would take my last years income taxes into consideration so I would not qualify for MNSure. I believed him because I believed I was talking to a trusted agent. He sold me a non-insurance plan instead and the company charged $613.04 for premiums I didn't even use and they refuse to return my initial premium of $344.02 because it was past 30 days from when I realized they had lied to me. The customer service was horrible. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

The reviewer was given insurance advice from a non-*** source, and thus completely outside the control of the Universal Health Fellowship and its representatives. No *** member support representative would or could have suggested to the reviewer what her insurance coverage eligibility is within her state-sponsored healthcare marketplace. If the reviewer feels she has been misled, she needs to take the matter up with the agency that sold her the *** program (Integrity Health One). Despite the reviewers issue with her monthly *** member contribution amount, she was refunded in full by *** for the whole month of November 2023 on December 1.

I contacted Universal Health Share Multiplan PCHS PPO for additional information on what they offered for medical coverage. I got a lot of info from **** and told him my final decision would be made only after I researched their company and the coverage they provided. I was shocked to learn they are not an insurance company at all they simply place you in a pay your provider up front program which promises discounts. I expressly indicated on a taped recording as they indicated I wouldnt sign up for their services until I researched myself. Now I am getting 4 to 5 robo calls every day only to be rudely told by a ***** ( twice ) she couldnt remove me from the call list and then immediately hung up on me twice. I continue to get these annoying and harassing phone calls and same story from other unprofessional and rude agents! I would like a number to call and a website that I can contact to unsubscribe from these unwanted calls. Very misleading sales efforts and high pressure to sign up immediately! I think this is all very fraudulent. I will take this to *** Attorney General next. *** always had success with their help and wont hesitate to do so again!

To correct the reviewer, UHF does not and has never sold insurance. UHF offers health cost sharing programs to individuals and their families. All UHF program materials, its website, and its sales agents explicitly and repeatedly state that its sharing programs are not insurance. UHFs sharing programs are not, as the reviewer states, pay your provider upfront programs. The sharing programs let members who, when visiting one of over ******* in-network physicians, pay just a consultation fee in-office (a dollar amount that is similar to a co-pay $ total) in accordance with their specific programs guidelines.Neither Universal Health Fellowship nor its sales agents and departments employ robo calls in reaching out to prospective members. The 4-5 calls the reviewer says shes received every day did not come from UHF. UHF does not use, tolerate, or even know any unprofessional or rude sales agents. And we have no idea who the ***** is that the reviewer referenced in her review. We do agree with the reviewer that robo calls can be a nuisance. We dont care for them either, but UHF certainly does not use them in its customer service outreach.

UHF does not and has never sold insurance. UHF offers health cost sharing programs to individuals and their families. All UHF program materials and its sales agents explicitly and repeatedly state that its sharing programs are not insurance. The reviewers e-sign statement, which she had signed, states, I understand that Im not buying insurance coverage. The reviewers description of scam is unfounded and incorrect. Call(ing) out UHF for not offering a service it consistently says it doesnt offer is ridiculous and misguided.

Non existent customer service. Call the customer service number and you'll get a broken record asking you to have your member ID ready. I just need to know why they didn't cover a fairly normal ER visit for a lung infection and I now have a $2k bill. Should have stuck with my old provider

      Universal Health Fellowship, Inc. Response

      08/17/2023

UHF would like to assure the reviewer that its customer service is far from non-existent. When members remain on hold during our regular office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-8:00pm ET), any wait time is brief with very rare exceptions. A member services representative will join the call promptly and assist the member with their issue expeditiously. Regarding the matter the reviewer brought up, UHF has reached out to him on several occasions during his membership, so far with no response. We will continue to do so, unless he elects to once again contact the ****** Services line on his membership card during our regular office hours. UHF looks forward to discussing his issue with the member at his earliest convenience.

Worst lies ever told to me! Expected insurance basically threw my money away! Promised insurance and got nothing, told my providers would be paid! Exact opposite! I now owe my providers due to the fact I had NO INSURANCE STAY AWAY A MAJOR RIP OFF!!!

      Universal Health Fellowship, Inc. Response

      08/15/2023

The reviewers statement that she was promised insurance is false. ***s programs are presented and sold as health cost sharing programs, and never health insurance. Universal Health Fellowship, Inc. (***) is a non-profit health care sharing ministry whose Universal HealthShare members make voluntary contributions to assist each other with medical expenses. *** does not and has never offered insurance of any kind. *** goes to great lengths to be certain every member understands this before joining. For that reason, as part of the enrollment process all members, including the reviewer, confirm their understanding of that distinction. In the reviewers signed application to join ***, she specifically confirmed I understand that I am not buying insurance coverage and that the sharing program is not a major medical plan and is not subject to the minimum standards required by the *************** Act. Immediately upon joining ***, the reviewer was sent a welcome letter, welcome booklet and sharing guidelines, which go into great detail explaining *** and repeatedly emphasize the fact that sharing programs are not insurance plans. In fact, the statement This is NOT insurance appears on the bottom of every page of these materials and the statement This program is NOT INSURANCE COVERAGE appears on the *** membership card. The hundreds of thousands of providers that belong to the MultiPlan/PHCS Ancillary and Practitioners Network do in fact accept the *** membership card, entitling the cardholding *** member to receive discount in-network rates and the ability to share their eligible medical expenses with other members of ***. This in-network physician information is also available in the documents she received. If the reviewer had bothered to look up and visit any of these in-network physicians, she would have had none of the monies due to the providers she claims she owes.
