BUYER BEWARE – SCAM – As a retired Firefighter/EMT I enjoyed helping others and the community in any way I can. This SCAM ALERT will hopefully save another family from making the same mistake we did. On November 4th 2023 my daughter and I were shopping at our local mall here in San Diego. We then got approached by CGTV National Talent Scout Director (Jamie R**) about an acting opportunity. Jamie told my daughter she could be in a commercial promoting a company like ********** My daughter was super excited. My oldest son was also excited so I brought both kids. We accepted their invite to the ****** ******* ****** Saturday November 5th 2023. Once arrived CGTV gave a brief video presentation. Then we got called into another room with sales staff for sign-ups. The only option at the time was their upcoming program next year July of 2023. I explained to Adrian (The gentleman who signed us up) that we wouldn’t be able to make the July program because of a prior vacation arrangement. Adrian said no problem we can do a program in August. He didn’t have a date set yet so just wrote “August” on the contract. I decided to sign both kids totaling $5000. It was $2500 each for the “All-Star” 4 day program. Unfortunately, we got ghosted by CGTV. CGTV failed to deliver and was in breach of their contract. Here is a timeline on what took place: Sunday Nov. 6th – Received emails regarding rehersal videos Wednesday Nov. 9th – Received a welcome email. Was given information on rehersals again and how to find a monologue Monday Nov. 14th – Received set 2 of 4 video rehersal newsletter Monday Nov. 21st – Received set 3 of 4 video rehersal newsletter Tuesday Nov. 29th – Received set 4 of 4 video rehersal newsletter Sunday Jan. 23rd – Called and left another message regarding August dates Sunday Feb. 20th – Called and left another message confirming my kids registration Friday March 11th – Called and left another message. NO COMMUNICATION FROM CGTV FROM NOV. 29TH TO APRIL 26TH 2022 Wednesday April 26th – Received a confirmation email for kids enrolled in the July 2022 program. I ignored this email because it didn’t apply. I was expecting a confirmation email shortly after for the August program. Friday April 28th – Called 818-206-0290 and left another message to CGTV asking for a confirmation for the August program. So far, we only received an email for the July program. Thursday May 4th– I called twice in hopes to reaching someone. I also emailed CGTV expressing my concern. I also messaged Adrian via Instagram with my concern with no return phone calls or email. I was told not to worry and that Sandra would be contacting me soon. Friday May 6th – Received an email from Mayara R****** asking if I had any questions. Wednesday May 11th – Wrote an email to CGTV requesting a refund. Thursday May 12th- Contacted Wells fargo Fraud department. We had to wait until August had past to process a claim. Tuesday May 26th – Called to speak to Sandra the office manager but no answer. Wednesday June 15th - Called to speak to Sandra the office manager but no answer. Tuesday July 5th – Wrote another email requesting a response Monday July 25th - Called to speak to Sandra the office manager but no answer. Monday August 8th – Emailed CGTV again requesting a refund. Monday August 8th – Received an email response from Sandra F******* the office manager. The email was an apology for not responding to my emails and phone calls. Was told that we didn’t confirm registration for the July program. I was also told that no refunds would be given and asked to re-schedule to the December program. Monday August 8th – I emailed Sandra and explained that I didn’t click on the July confirmation because it didn’t apply to us. CGTV Claimed they sent an email back in April. Why didn’t they return our calls and e-mails? CGTV Claimed on our contract that a date was given. No specific date was given. Only “August”.

Don't waste your time. CGTV is NOT a talent agency. It's a multi-thousand-dollar seminar disguised as an audition and very unprofessionally conducted. If you don't mind spending thousands of dollars on something that will likely yield zero return, this is it! They send their scouts to approach busy moms at the mall with their kids. They specifically seek out moms with designer handbags who appear to have a certain level of money and then they hand you a card and say "Is your child funny? They have a great look and should come to our 'audition!'" Again, it's not an audition. It's a credit card transaction prefaced by a long, worthless presentation of F-listers. ******** is too high up on the alphabet. RUN!
