On 3/21/22 we contracted One Hour Heating and Air of ********************************************************************************** to diagnose our frozen AC unit. A tech was sent out who could not diagnose the unit. My wife was told we need a leak detection in the amount of $245. We agreed and paid for the leak detection, assuming this would be a full leak detection of the inside unit and outside unit. Upon arrival, the tech only inspected the inside unit citing that we had a leak in the evaporator coil and quoting us a price of $1370 to replace it. No further leak detection was done on the outside unit as he assumed he found the leak. The following day we called another AC company for a second opinion, as $1370 is quite a lot of money to spend. At this time, the technician from HYVAC reported there was no leak in the evaporator coil and the Freon levels did not seem to be dropping. Sometime on in early May the unit froze again. We called One Hour Ac on 5/10/22 to see to the frozen unit and we were then told again that our evaporator coil needed to be replaced. We agreed to the replaced and went 5 days without air. They arrived on 5/15/22 to replace the evaporator coil. Upon completion, we paid the $1370+ for the repair. However, the unit was the frozen again the same night. I called One Hour AC the next morning reporting the unit was frozen again. They sent the same tech out who reported that it was just a loose valve. I asked if he was positive and he said YES! Two nights later, it was frozen again. I knew this time, the tech was wrong. The same tech and an additional tech were dispatched to my home the next day at 5pm. This time, the other tech, ***, did a leak inspection of the outside unit, reporting a leak to my wife. They told her the unit in its entirety needed to be replaced and basically the $1370 we had just spent was a waste. My wife called the office to rectify the situation as we paid for a FULL leak detection not a PARTIAL leak detection. They would not credit! Going to the ****
