I am writing to report a troubling experience I recently encountered with a dog breeder scam. I believe it's important to address this issue to protect others from similar deception. On 02/26/2024, I found a toy golden doodle from "Murphy's Doodles breeder". The ad seemed legitimate, offering healthy puppies at reasonable prices.Excited to bring a new pet into my home, I contacted the breeder and eventually made a down payment and transportation fee payment for a puppy. However, after the payment, the breeder refused to do a video call so I could see the puppy before paying the difference, they disappeared, and my attempts to reach them failed. It became evident that the breeder was a scammer. As a result of this deceitful scheme, I have not only incurred a financial loss but also experienced emotional distress and disappointment. It is deeply disheartening to realize that unscrupulous individuals are exploiting the love and trust that people have for animals, preying on unsuspecting individuals who only seek to provide a loving home for a pet.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope that by speaking out about my experience, we can work together to prevent others from enduring the same ordeal.Business response

********* contacted us to purchase a puppy. We sent her photos and videos of the puppy. She placed a deposit and we scheduled the flight and nanny to have the puppy to her within a few days. We sent her an invoice and attempted several times the days leading up to the flight to collect payment. The night before the puppy was supposed to fly out she refused to pay her final balance. She claimed her credit card was not working so we offered her several other ways to pay and she refused. She then said she was on the road driving to ****** and wont have much phone service to pay on the day she was supposed to receive delivery in her home state (not ******). She wanted us to send the puppy and her pay later in attempt to avoid paying for the puppy. We have been in business many years. We have an excellent reputation and many happy customers. Unfortunately we can not send a puppy to a customer with zero references and hope we get paid at a later date.
