CITY OF TAMPA UTLITY MOVED MY WATER METER WITHOUT MY CONSENT IN THE PROCESS OF THEM DOING SO. THEY COMPLETELY REORGANIZED, REARRANGED, AND ALTERED MY WATER PIPING. AND ON TOP OF ALL OOF THAT THEY DIDN'T DO THE *** CORRECTLY. THEY DIDN'T GLUE THE PIPING ONLY PRIME. BY THEM NOT APPLYING GLUE PIPING CAME APART AND CRACKED. I CONTACTED THE CITY THEY REFUSED 01/06/24 TO REPAIR THE WORK THEY DID INCORRECTLY I HAD NO WATER IN MY HOME TO DRINK, BATH, WASH DISHES, WASH CLOTHES, TO COOK, OR TO FLUSH MY TOILETS WITH. I HAVE PROOF OF THEM PERFORMING THE WORK. I HAD TO CALL A PLUMBER TO COME OUT TO MAKE REPAIRS WHO DID THE *** CORRECTLY WHO DID GLUE THE ***** I AM REQUESTING MY PLUMBER BILL REFUND OF $ ****** AND WHAT EVER OVER FLOW WATER CHARGE BECAUSE IT'S THE CITY OF TAMPA FAULT THEY CAME IN MY YARD ON MY PROPERTY WITHOUT MY CONSENT DEMANDING TO MOVE WATER METER IF THEY WOULD OF NOT MOVED MY WATER METER I WOULDN'T OF HAD ANY ISSUES WITH FLOODING WATERS AND WATER PIPE BEING ALTERED, REORGANIZED, REARRANGED, MALFUNCTIONING 20 YEARS I WAS ON MY PROPERTY NO ISSUES UNTIL THE CITY COMES IN WITHOUT MY CONSENT DEMAND AND MOVE MY WATER METER.Business response

Water bill money was taken out of account one day, returned the next day with no explanation, changed my bill amount and not only that l, but the shut the water down when I have a baby and a pregnant lady. Again no explanation when I called them. I'm really really aggravated because that's their fault and I have to deal with it. Today I came home at 8 from a long day of work, was gonna take a shower and surprise the city shuts down the water. No communication on their part and pay the bill extra. Workers don't try to help, the worst of the worst services are provided by Tampa services. Makes me wanna move to another city so I don't deal with them anymore.Business response

In or about June of 2020, Tampa Utilities had contacted me regarding a glitch within their billing system, which failed to bill thousands of customers for 6 months. Tampa Utilities informed me that my household had used $550+ in water over the past 6 months and that I would have to pay the entire balance despite their failure to bill me for 6 months. The balance was distributed into a payment arrangement, which is the usual procedure for when A CUSTOMER DEFAULTS AND BUILDS A BALANCE IN ARREARS. I did not default or build a balance. The company FAILED TO CHARGE ME until 6 months later upon realizing THEIR ERROR. The company told me that I would need to pay a $95 additional to my regular water usage per month, during the CoVid 19 mandated goverment shut down. I was unable to pay this unanticipated additional amount which was added to my bill DUE TO THEIR ERROR. As a result, the Utility of water has been repeatedly disconnected. I have been told that if I do not pay the entire amount of $570, my services will be disconnected. The custpmer service rep I spoke to, April, was dishonest with me and unprofessional. She listened to my synopsys of what had happened, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor about my issue, she told me there was not a supervisor available,placed the phone on the countertop, and allowed me to hear the goings on within the office for about 7 minutes while she and the other workers laughed and mocked me (at this point i was crying, begging her to please come back to the phone and help me) I placed several other calls attempting to have someone reason with me and realize that I was in this dire situation due to the error of the utility company, and not my own default. Every person I spoke to was able to acknowledge that the error was on the fault of the utility company but that they would still be demanding I compensate for their error immediatley or risk not having water in my home until I could do so.
