Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/07/12) */ This is a verbal reply taken by BBB: We do not have a blank form to send for releasing the vehicle, however if they are designating another person to pick it up they will need to write down a statement with the vehicle owner name stating the name of who they authorize to pick up, and date it. This would need to be notarized or have the health care worker/caretaker sign the paper. Additional documentation needed : - make/model - VIN - copy of ID Each yard may have a person that should be able to help retrieve documents from the vehicle, if you do not have your ID.Initial Complaint

Vehicle was towed away from Lakewood Apartments with no warning despite having a parking pass inside the vehicle. I have photos of the sticker inside of the vehicle. The person towed the vehicle despite it having a parking pass inside the vehicle. Incorrectly charging me to have it re released. There was no strata rules broken as the car was properly parked and was not parked backing in at all and the car had a valid registration and license plate and was fully insured.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/03) */ I HAVE TAKEN A LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THE CAR AND THERE WAS NOT A CURRENT STICKER ON IT. THE ONLY STICKER THAT WAS ON THE CAR WAS A DIFFERNT TOWING COMPANY STICKER (COMMTOW TOWING). THIS WAS A GOOD TOW AND THERE WILL NOT BE ANY REFUND. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/09/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Yes there was indeed a pass. I leave it in the inside of the car. When the car was towed it must have slipped. I have a photo of it on the lot with the slip on the side due to it being towed. My parking pass is always displayed on the dash to prevent damage. Also there was no warning given to me at all despite me being a resident of the complex. I have spoken to the property manager on site as well. They're supposed to notify her before even towing the vehicle in the first place! So no warning to either the manager nor to myself
