******************* is a private property manufactured housing community. The sign at our only entrance states NO SOLICITING and NO DOOR TO DOOR. Solar Specialist were soliciting and going door to door. When confronted they said they were not soliciting. They were just talking to people with high electric bills. How would they know who had a high electric bill ?Business Response

I am sorry that this happened to you. I do not believe the person(s) responsible do not work for our company. There is a sales company that has taken a very similar name, "Solar Specialists, LLC" and our name is and has been "Solar Specialist Inc." since 2007. Their website is here: www.specialists.solar. We also do not install in mobile home communities.

I have been calling them to say that the system is not working as they said and 4 times the transfer switch is not working and shout out, they come and fix, but 3 months does not work. I called them again after the storm and they said I needed another battery for more capacity in the house that is a scam because they did not mention where we signed the contract because they checked my light bill, and they knew how much capacity we needed to put the solar panels. I have 36 panels and 1 battery and now he said I need another.Business Response

DATE:09-03-2022 (first meeting and first thing signed)MONEY: ****** Took a year after signing a contact to get up and running after were told a few months. Hard to reach during that time. We were told at the time that we would have 99% of out electric bill covered throughout the year by solar or accumulated solar credit. They could not be specific however and once the job was done we were told that is not the case. After a about a year everything was finally running except the trees being trimmed/cut as their guy was giving us the run-a-run and say he want to cut some Trees in the front of the house, which do not even block the sunlight to the panels and eventually said he could not do the job because his truck broke down. We hire our own guy with the slotted money they gave us and he took out one tree but said two other trees needed to be cut/trimmed to really make a difference throughout the year. Since then it has been a year and we have not once produced enough solar to cover 99% of cost of our electric bill (often leaving us with the loan payment for the solar panels plus an electric bill, usually over a hundred dollars). We finally were told the the first ****** we talked to did things wrong and we are to talk to a different ******. We have reached out to him in attempts to have the job corrected and for some reimbursement but we are always told will look into it and get back to us...they do not. An added concern now is that if anything that is under warranty goes, it will probably be very hard to reach someone and get something done. We felt we are being reasonable and only wanted what was promised (some more sunlight to hit the panels and reimbursement for the extra electrical bills), but at this time maybe we should be asking for more. So we installed your solar and provided a rebate for you to take care of trees in order to get the most out of the solar. We also recommended a tree professional who would perform the work for the price we rebated. Unfortunately, you chose to use someone else to trim your trees, and we do not know anything regarding their costs, scope of work or workmanship.
You are certainly able to contract with any other tree professional to get more work done, or we can have someone else we recommend come out and provide you an estimate. We just will not be able to provide any more of a rebate for it. Please reach out to our office if you need any other assistance or a tree professional recommendation. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:We have talked to two people on the phone before reaching this point and both have told us that the amount offered was incorrect and it is usually one to one and half time the amount we were given. The guy you suggested wanted trees not in the path of the sun light to be taken out, gave us a run around, and eventually stop communicating with us after his truck broke down. We have been told that the guy "***" gave us misleading information and ****** has said he would contact the office and have them call us back...never happened. We are being resonable with our request, we are not asking for a full refund from the misleading information gave to us. We would have never signed up for solar panels knowing it does not save us money, we made *** aware of this and he gave us his word that up to 99% of our electric uses would be covered or on a later date, if that was not happening, more panels would be put up. I maybe incorrect but I do believe, legally we have a case for reimbursement, even though at this time we are not asking for it, we are just asking just what was originally "sold/promised" to us when we agreed to the term.

I had a whole house solar system installed for past 2 or 3 years everything ok but now for past few months the system has failed n I have 2 big bills from ***************************** this should not be I need help please the company is ignoring my calls not returning any message not saying anything I can't belive how qwik they were to get 58k from me but now to correct this issue not a phone call backBusiness Response

On March 6 the solar system stop working, The came 3 days later and replace a part but the next day stop working again. At that time the told me the baterry need to be replace will take 2 week. As today May 1, nothing yet. The company don't answer my phone calls. I contacted the loan service to claim a credit because the payments done. They told the Solar Specialist are the one to pay me back for the time of the system no working properly. The last time i talked to some someone at Solar Specialist said you need to talk to the manager regarding that, but the manager was busy and they be calling be later that day. That was April 10, noboby call me yet. Today i called 3 times and my calls went to voice mail. Another problem with them is they lie to me regarding a federal refund for buy the solar system. According to them i will get 22% back from the goverment. That never happend.The IRS kept the money as a credit fpr $10,900. I never going to see that money. The lie to me and i wat the money they promise.Business Response

Good morning
I would like to address a few inaccuracies:
1. The tax credit - The solar does qualify for the tax credit. If you owed the *** money they obviously keep it and apply it to what you owe them. There would be no way for ** to know that and as stated in your contract and discussed at the time of sale, you need to discuss your personal tax questions with your trusted tax professional.
2. System not working - Your system as of this time is working beautifully. Your battery is for when the grid goes down, not day to day use. We would love to see your utility bill as your system shows you are way overproducing.
3. Warranty - Solar Specialist is the installer; we are not the manufacturer, and the warranties you have are with *** SolarEdge, and Peimar. We have started claims on your behalf but please keep in mind that we are not contractually required to service your solar. There is claim started with ** on your behalf and the battery has not shipped yet. We can not force ** to process things any faster unfortunately.
4. Contact - We have spoken to you numerous times and have kept you up to date. Continuing to call, message, email, and write poor reviews to Solar Specialist will not make ** do anything faster. ** will not even see the reviews I am sure.
In conclusion, your solar is working and continues to work great (please see screenshot of your production yesterday). Your ** claim for a replacement battery is in progress. You are responsible to be sure you have your taxes up to date and to understand your own personal and confidential tax situation. You continue to write poor reviews based on misconceptions you have on who is responsible for what. At this point and time, we have serviced your solar free of charge and are still receiving slanderous comments. We kindly request you alter your comments to reflect the reality of the situation.
