On 6/22/2023 I went to Ob Sod located at ********************************************* ***** ******* ***** phone # ************. Bought a pallet of Bahia sod. Sale number ******. Upon unloading the sod over 50% is nothing but pieces and most there is more sand showing then grass. Grass is yellow and looks almost dead. Upon speaking to manager he informs me the problem I'm having is cause I bought the cheapest sod they have. Says I was informed that bahia is brittle which it does state on invoice. This isn't a brittle issue it's mostly just small pieces that were not even a whole piece when put on the pallet. I didn't not ask for a refund but he sure asked me if I was wanting the sod for free which is not the case. I shouldn't have to pay full price for what they gave me as it is not what I ordered. I never asked for a million pieces to sod my yard.Business response

Business response taken verbally by BBB:
Customer picked up the product prior to leaving the office and was informed that bahia is brittle and it is stated on the receipt this is a common occurrence that it breaks up easily. All the customer needs to do is water the bahia as it normally does not get watered unless it rains. It will turn brown when it hasn't been watered recently but watering it will have it turn ************* and it will grow.

I am rejecting this response because:
I understand what brittle means. It means if I pick up a piece it may tear or fall apart. That was not the issue with this sod... the issue was over 60 percent was nothing but chunks and small pieces. Meaning I picked up mostly broken chucnks that were not full pieces to begin with. The family and friends have bought many times from your company and even they said what you sold me was trash.. 150 dollars is a rip off for what you sold me...
