My complaint is with the company that runs the *** of my townhouse that I own. Twice the *** has had our cars towed from our own personal parking spaces in the middle of the night. The car registration was two weeks expired and they did not give any warning either time. It happened to my wife's car and then they did it to mine as well. Each time they gave no warning and when I asked them to refund the money for the towing expenses he responded with an email stating the statute of the *** says no unauthorized vehicles when they were authorized and registered with the ***. This is unacceptable and I would like Avid Property to refund the money for towing my cars from my person space as this caused many issues since we have a 2 year old.Business response

I am sorry to hear that your car was towed. As you mentioned the vehicle did not have a valid plate on the car. ************* documents require all cars to be operable and with valid documentation. The towing company does come through periodically and does have the ability to tow cars that are in violation. ************* documents do not require advance warnings. Avid Property Management does not hire the towing company or set the rules for your community. We are sorry that has happened but as you said the registration was expired by 2 weeks and the community documents require that all cars on property have valid plates and be operable. Unfortunately Avid Property Management does not have the ability to compensate you for your situation.Initial Complaint

I'm a home owner of this association , i been trying to get in contact with them for a concern and they have treated me very rude and poorly, after that the *** ******************* contacted me to make an appt which he cancel after he saw that i posted a review of the mention behavior i received when i went to the office. I can't conceived how can he denied service that we are paying for.Business response

Our customer service staff attempted to assist him but he required speaking to the manager only they explained to him that the manager was not in at the moment and advised him to make a appointment as the mangers do site inspections and are onsite very frequently. Mr ********* then got very agitated with the customer service agent started yelling and then left the ******* slamming the door and knocking a picture frame off of the wall. He sent me a email complaining about the service he received from our customer service agent I called him and spoke to him on the phone I apologized for the poor service he received from our agent. I set a appointment for him to meet with me 2 days later. When I got off the phone with him I pulled the video footage from his visit and saw the way he treated our staff. I returned his call again to speak to him and try to assist him with his situation but the call did not go as well as I would have hoped. ********************* refused to allow me to assist him as he wanted to meet in person. He hung up on me on 2 different times I called him back and the 3rd time I let him know that I would not meet with him in person he is welcome to call and discuss on the phone, email or send a letter in writing but I do not feel comfortable meeting him in person after the way he acted on the phone and in person at my office. I would love to assist him in whatever matter he needs assistance but I will not be treated with disrespect as he is doing. Even in this complaint he still is not providing us with his actual situation that needs to be assisted with. I have been more than willing to assist him I have been nothing but profesional with him i have apologized for misunderstanding he has had with my customer service staff. This man insists on lying, manipulating and justifying his employee, who is rude and very unprofessional, just like him, who is far from interested in what was the reason of my visit, I only try to justify his employee by blaming me... but also the man was in the office, he just didn't want to attend to me...After saying that he had to watch the videos to justify the behavior of his staff,"that in fact I would love for you to upload those videos" I went to the company's website and gave it the review they deserve...what they The man responded by calling me to tell me that he was going to cancel my appointment because I had disappointed him, I put the review I want and pay for an association where unfortunately these types of people are in charge.Business response

Ive Resided at this address as a homeowner for almost 16 years now And had multiple issues with Association.. My current issue with them is The usage of the gym. I pay almost $200 in HOA And almost $30 and CMA fee Which is for the gym usage.. *** always had a key fob key to enter the building for the gym for 16 years now and I was always able to go in when I wanted ,There was never specific time.. Due to health issues I have not use the gym in a while.. Just last week I went and retrieved a new key because my old key No longer worked.. I get back to my complex to try my key out . it opened the door to enter but the community had their end of the door locked the second door where the Gym equipment is located,which I dont have a key for. So I waited the next day and I spoke with a office Associate who informed me that I will need to get with my HOA about the door being locked. I Contact my hoa and was told that the door shouldnt be lock .and That an email was sent to the property manager about the issue.. I still Havent received a response from that property manager.. I Then call my HOA back and spoke to another associate and they informed me that The gym can only be used while the office is open through the week till 5 PM but Im Im off always after 5 and the weekends they are closed. The associate then tells me that that time has been that time forever which is not true because *** lived here for almost 16 years now.. Plus they are close on the weekend. I understand if they want to change their time Without my consent, agreement or Knowledge meant but why Are they charging me a fee When Im not able to access the building.. I need to stop being charged the fee or they need to open the doors as it has always been..Business response

I am sorry you are upset with this policy, As you know the Clubhouse is owned and operated by the *************. Your association has a agreement with the ************* to use the clubhouse. About 2 years ago the managing agent along with the board of directors made the decision to only allow use of the gym during hours that the clubhouse is staffed by their contracted employees. We understand that you do pay 30 dollars a month that fee is used for the use & maintenance of the pocket parks , dog park , swimming pool and gym area. We are working with the City to amend the hours of use for the gym area. Part of the problem is that when you are in the gym you have access to the entire clubhouse which is a problem since the ************* has personal low income housing records in this building along with other valuable items that are not properly secured. *************** is currently working with the ************* to make some changes to the clubhouse to make the gym available longer hours to residents. The agreement with the clubhouse does allow residents access but does not have a limit to the hours that the facilities are available. Again we are working to expand the access. Until they amend this agreement we have our hands tied and are unable to make changes to this policy. I encourage you to attend future meetings of the ***** of **************** Please remember you have a 7 member board of directors 4 from the ************* and 3 from the HOA. *******************************.. So,, until we all reach a agreement.. Why am I still responsible to pay. Furthermore, the pool also has not been available for use for many years.. I totally understand about the valuables inside the building but you do have cameras all over.. As you stated its been 2 yrs. Like how many more years is needed?? I Have sent emails work orders etc / see info but NO RESOLUTION to management company!. THIS IS dangerous and i need assistance =(this is what i have sent ) The wires exposed behind my property / **** Osprey Lake Circle and extending through the back are getting worse and worse, due to weather ,sprinklers, and the landscaping company riding over the exposed wires with mowers . I fear someone could trip , fall and or get shocked by the exposed wires . I am unable to go on my lawn due to this safety hazard which is impacting my health and sense of security and safety ,as well as safety of other people and or animals in the yard .My original request was sent in Jan 2023, you replied to work order Feb 8th 2023, it is almost March 2023. I need this to be a priority to get fixed! Please reply asap with when this will be fixed .I have done my due diligence reporting this and requesting multiple times for a resolution . Again you , the management company I will refer any and all others if any issues due to this hazard.*********************Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Based in the info you sent me , the issue with my *** is still not resolved .The wires are now cut and broken and exposed and are even more of a hazardous. My original request to *** was in Jan 2023. I have received conflicting emails from my *** ,Avid Property Management, Inc. One correspondence stated they were sending out the water company with the work order number which I have told them it is not water line, and n ow one has come. Then I received another email they were sending out someone from the cable company, that has not happened even though it is not a cable line . The *** has changed the properly manger from the original info I sent you to another property manger ( same company) . The work order i place on the community website says closed and much of the info I send has been removed . I have documentation of all the info , even the info they deleted . It is till not fixed. I need this fixed and after allthis time after waiting with no resolution multiple emails from my *** with different info , i have never received anything from them via the mail . I have made multiple phone calls to AVID left voicemail(they have not returned any calls as well as emails to please call me , and still have not received "ANY " return calls. This is negligent , costing me time , money , and unsafe as well not resolved . At this point the repairs need to be fixed as well as I think my monthly *** fees should be adjusted and or they should be fined the amounts they would fine any resident with a violation. Please help me resolve my issue .

This company manages the property on behalf of my HOA. This is the second year IN A ROW I have not received my invoice to pay my homeowners dues. I have logged into my portal which does not allow me access, and without the required mailed notification, I do not have the confirmed amount due for the year nor do I feel it is fair to be charged penalties for this oversight. I brought it to the attention of the company last year, and was told to take it up with my local post office rather than rectifying this issue with a solution. Here we are AGAIN this year with the same issue, when dues were required to be paid by the first of the year. I never was able to even pay last years for issues in the change of hands from one company to another, and never had any follow up resolution on behalf of the management company whose sole responsibility is to communicate these items with the community. It is to the point where I question what everyone's dues are actually paying for! I need a resolution that is fair, and I need to be met halfway on this. The lack of accountability on their behalf is unbecoming for a company that is meant to represent the homeowners within the property they manage.Business response

This owner has been referred to the Association Attorney for collection of assessments and Avid Property Management can no longer communicate with her regarding her account. This is why she is not receiving her billing statements. She has been instructed to contact the Association Attorney and has yet to do so in order to resolve her collection issue.
The ***** of ********* has voted on moving forward with collection activity and this should not be a reflection of Avid Property Management.

I have been complaining about the litter outside from people leaving trash , soda cans , empty bottles , snack wrappers etc . Bugs , roaches and possums are now all around my property . We are supposed to have pest control , but my hoa is not doing anything to fix the problem . I have emailed several times about my concerns, but I am not getting any solutions . I have my own health issues and a small dog that could be impacted by all of this please help me to get this resolved . The last possum I saw was bigger then my 7 pound dog .Business response

Avid Property Management and the Sylvan Crossing HOA are towing cars out of homeowners driveways for parking in a manner that they deem in violation without warnings. They sent out of notification via Facebook and Email citing the new "rules" and referencing the bylaws which have not been amended or updated to reflect this. They allow a towing company to come on to the property in the middle of the night and remove cars while the owners are sleeping and do not have a chance to rectify the situation. They have also not posted the updated community documents which are public record. When asked to have the contact information for the board of directors of the HOA we have been denied that access as well and all correspondence must go through the property management company. I literally walked out of my house to go to work and my car was gone. There was no notification until 11:00 am and the towing occurred at 4:00 am. They are harassing homeowners and putting them in danger.Business response

I understand that you are upset because your vehicle was towed for improperly parking. All the homeowners have been notified about the items that the board has been trying to confirm. Per your complaint on Google last month "the board of directors his having continuous board meeting" At those meetings are when this subjects are discussed. As you said in your google review you do attend the meeting. This information is not only provided via email, regular us mail, and as you know a post was put online prior to your car being towed that your household was upset about the new rules. You also notified Avid Property Management that you hired legal council to handle this. So I am not able to really assist you any further.Initial Complaint

Unfortunately this owner has pending litigation with Kirby Creek HOA so we are unable to provide any assistance. They really need to reach out to the association legal council. This complaint has many incorrect statements as you can clearly see on the ledger they provided they have not received any fines they are required to pay for the legal services the association had to spend to enforce the rules. I try calling the lawyer twice and send her twice a fax because Ms Prasse wont talk on the phone and she never anserw me she is uneachable and unprofessional Also I writte the management company and never they accept my letter wich is the reason I wrotte you I'm sending you proof of my receipt that I send my letters and we have been ignore ALlso I have a recording were Meghan say is a fine and I have not brake no rules also I'm sending you a video of what the member did yesterday and also Meghan and she needs to stop harrarssing my son she is very rude and unprofesional my son was coming back from walmart and he was talking to the mail man and Meghan keep driving around bulling him until the mail man anserw her the situation is real they are abusing the power they have and this memeber need to be penalized and fine too for what they are doing
