Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/07) */ Keith bought a scooter from us on 10/23/21 stated on the receipt that is was sold as is as shown no refunds or returns. We sold it to him for $1409.42 which was on the receipt and since we have been in business it has always been stated on our receipts that everything is sold as shown and no cash refunds. he brought his bike back after the warranty was up and it is no longer running due to customer negligence. We told Keith when he purchases the bike what kind of gas to use and the maintance on the bike. Unfortunately since its been almost a year since purchasing the bike I can not give him a refund or replace the bike since there is nothing factory wrong with the bike. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/09/21) */ This response was taken verbally by the BBB They are lying, it was not purchased as is and I have witnesses to back me up. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/09/22) */ My receipts have been the same since we opened 23 years ago. If he can provide the original receipt we will determine that. Unfortunately his bike was sitting and the gas went bad, which is rider error and I can not do anything since the factory warranty is up because it has been longer than three months since he returned the bike to me. The gas went bad from the bike sitting, so it needs a new carb or a carb clean and a tune up. Every day his bike sits here there is a storage fee for not picking it up. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2021/09/28) */ The warranty on it was 60 days, when keith came back we did fix the bike and what was under warranty, which is only parts on the motor. When he brought it back recently it has been sitting since the gas went bad, it is not under warranty now. Gas going bad from not being riden is also customer neglect. We have no issue fixing the odometer, how ever the gas going back from sitting and needing a carb clean as well as a tune up I can not do. There is nothing defective about the scooter, if you let any carbureted bike sit the carb will get clogged with dirty or bad gas. The DMV should have the original receipt as well as the bill of sale showing it was sold as is, as well as what is on my receipt that I have here. The scooter was brand new and had no issues, he originally bought the bike for his brother and then took it back, that could have been why the scooter was sitting and had bad gas. When Keith did bring his scooter in first I did offer to pay for the parts myself and he paid labor so he declined. It has now been 3 months.
