Blue prints/plans for addition to house at ***************************************************** pd on 05/17/21 ($2,350). Final Contract signed and down payment of $22,312+ made on 08/03/2021 with Wells Design Contracting (DW). Per contract, completion date 11/21/21. Another payment of $33,268+ made on 12/29/21, ahead of draw schedule, ("for materials" per DW"). Over a year later, still not close to completion. Even to a novice the work is sloppy, On appr 01/20/22 we had rain damage to existing house due to subcontractors cutting the roof off too close to the house, contacted DW, he came out and put plastic on the roof x2, rain still leaked in the house. When asked about repairs from water damage, DW response, "we'll worry about that later." Communication is very limited from DW as evidenced by the hundreds of phone calls I made to him, with no answer the majority of the time, and calls to inspectors, planning board etc, to try to get info and get this project going. I have been keeping notes, taking pictures, and saving records of phone calls to DW since Sept 2021. I started emailing DW so I would have a paper trail since he has one excuse after another and quite frankly, blatantly lies related to info on the project. (ex: "paid 50% on AC unit/work" Per AC company, "no $ paid as of 08/11/22.") I filed a complaint with ******************* Services on 08/23/22 hoping this might get DW going on this project, but nothing has changed. I have been told 27x since 04/22 "insulation will be done tomorrow, next week etc." On 08/07/22, ** told me "I'll make this a priority, should be completed by mid Sept." Guess what?, We're still in the same place as when he told me this. We just want to be done with this project and this contractor. PLEASE HELP!!!!Initial Complaint

We contracted with Wells Design Contracting to build our new home. We are still waiting on him to finish the items on the "punch list". We have sent numerous emails and texts as well as pictures of the problems. Some of them we have finally fixed ourselves but other are beyond our ability. I also requested the invoices for his subcontractors so that we could try to resolve some of the issues since he is ignoring us. We have a window that leaks as well as other leaks that are causing damage to the home. We have tried to be patient but have come to the end of our rope. Please help us!
