The business that I am reporting has been sending letters to my home address with highlighted notes to send them copies of my personal copies documents such as a copy of my driver license, copy of my passport, state ID or conceal weapon license. I want them to stop mailing me letters. I have NOT requested their business.

Harris, Eckland & Associates is an asset recovery firm that locates owners, corporations, and beneficiaries that have unclaimed property being held by the state of *******.  We are licensed by the state and receive updated account information from the state on a weekly basis.  Our goal is to contact unclaimed property owners and make them aware of the funds available to them.  Once the owner has been notified, they can choose how to claim the funds.  I understand ******** concerns and have removed her from our mailing communication.  However, there are other licensed agencies in ******* and they may continue to contact her.  The only way to truly end all notification is to claim the funds that are being held by the state.  ****** can pick a licensed representative like Harris, Eckland & Associates, or she can contact the state of ******* directly.  Either way, we encourage her to claim her funds.  Please let me know if I can assist in any other way.

I received a second letter in a 12 month period that says ***** **** ********* ******* owes me $321.83. It says that the company has previously tried to contact me. The matter has been turned over to the government. I have been a professional life insurance agent for 16 years. I was not working with ***** at the time that this money supposedly was owed to me. Making it impossible for them to owe me any money. I currently am doing business with ***** and assure you that the only money that they owe me is current, and on the books. It will be paid to me just like all the other insurance companies pay me. I have direct access to *****'s Agent support, customer service, agent licensing, and most importantly, agent commissions. There is no record of this. Please proceed with caution when dealing with these scammers!

We contacted ****** ***** because he has unclaimed property with the state of *******.  Unfortunately, he believes this is a scam and refuses research for any facts.  I have updated his account so that we will no longer contact him.  However, he still has unclaimed funds and will likely continue to be contacted by other research agencies like ours.  Every state has an unclaimed property division and there are many just in the state of *******.  I have attached a screenshot of ******** account with the state of *******.  It even lists a contact from *****.  I really hope ****** can expand his mind and claim his funds.  He can contact the state of ******* directly.  We certainly won't be doing business with ******.  Without any research at all, he has blasted our agency on BBB and ******.  Do your research and claim your money, ******.

I received al letter from Harris, Eckland and associates dated July 15, 2021. The letter stated that I was owed a sum of money that was sent to the state by my previous mortgage company. I filled out the paperwork and sent it in a few days later. . I think this is a scam. I’ve Lordy at least five voicemails and no one has returned my phone calls. I’m filing this complaint because they claim to have access to money that is owed to me. It has been almost two months and I’ve heard nothing. The paperwork says **** to 90 days but to return a phone call or acknowledge they received my information is suspicious and unprofessional. They claim to have an A plus rating with your company.. I find that hard to believe. Either send me the money or send me back my information.

Our records indicate that we received all of the required documents from ******* **** on July 23, 2021.  Once we receive the required documents, we file a claim with the state of Florida where the funds are currently being held.  It takes the state of Florida approximately 10-12 weeks to process claims and issue payment.  Based on the current processing time, ******* should receive payment sometime around the middle to end of October.  It is concerning to hear that ******* has left so many voicemails.  Unfortunately, I have no record of her calling our office.  Now that I am aware, I have assigned someone to reach out to ******* to answer any questions she may have.
