Auto repair facility reviewed my car and gave me a range of ****k with 2-3k in parts. The parts cost did not change but total cost went to over $19k. Allstate informed me that other Tesla cars are being repaired for the same issue for *****k and that this facility is doing non required work to inflate the cost and then not releasing the cars until they are paid by someone (insurance or insured)Business response

We are very sorry that you feel this way. It is always our goal to satisfy a customer and do the very best work that we can. We pride ourselves on being very thorough and accurate when we create repair plans on vehicles. As we have stated in the email that we sent you and Allstate on December 26th we will be happy to sit down with you and Allstate. We will do our best to get you reimbursed by going over the procedures in the ***************** and Tesla Collision Repair guidelines to provide documentation that these procedures are required to perform a correct, quality repair and are justified.
Before we began the repair we advised you of the amount of short pay you would be responsible for and wether or not you wanted to proceed. (see email correspondence below)***************************;<********************>

$6102.60 (see attached PDFs). That amount will be due
at the time of the pick up. I will do everything that's in my power for
them to cover that expense by requesting another supplement, take photos
in process and provide them when requested but I cannot guarantee that
they would reimburse you for the full amount.
Please respond and let me know how you would like me to handle this and
if you would like me to move forward with this repair.

Please proceed. If there is a short fall we can work with Allstate or my insurance amica for the balance from there
I am aware the care can not be release until fully paid
*****************************Allstate told you" the average cost of this type of repair was between $11000 and $13,000". Allstate originally wrote an estimate for $929.86.
Allstate told you we are "charging for non required operations". Allstate has never reviewed the *** Manufacturer Guidlines for this repair with us.
Allstate told you "other Tesla shops do not charge for these procedures". We cannot speak as to what other shops do or do not do.
Please reach out to us so that we can help to try to resolve this.

Information I have received is that my repair should have been 13k when I was billed 20k. The provider is billing items separately when the same action is part of another repair.
example: you asked for brakes and a tire rotation. the provider is billing for removing the tires twice as if these are two separate actions when the tires had to come off for the brake repair.
