On April 14, 2023, I went into the ****** ***** ***** to purchase tickets so myself, my wife and my son could use the Old Town Trolley to help us get to different locations around the historic area in ** *********. I asked the man at the front desk about tickets and he ask me how many ticket I needed. I told him 3. He then asked for my credit card, which I gave him. A moment later, he handed me a ticket with Qty (3) on it and my credit card back, not advising me before charging my card of what the price per ticket would be or total. I was surprised and a bit taken aback, but didn't say anything. I also noticed there was no amount of what I was charged on the ticket / receipt. We thought we could catch a ride from where were were. We kept looking for a Old Town Trolley stop but never saw one, so we had to walk the entire distance to the ****. I'm **, my wife is ** and our son in ** with foot issues. After we finished touring the **** and boarding a Old Town Trolley, I called the number on the ticket / receipt. to find out what I had been charged. The lady looked up the order (*************) and told me I had been charged $124. I was shocked! There's NO WAY I would have agreed to pay such an outrageous sum of money if I been advised of the price in advance, as I should have been. It's also VERY suspicious how the amount I was charged wasn't on the receipt. I told the lady that I wasn't advised of the price in our conversation and told her I would be filing a complaint to the ***. She said sorry about that and ended the call, so Old Town Trolley did have an opportunity to fix the situation. In my opinion, failing to advise someone of what a price is, then charging someone without advising of the price, plus no amount on the receipt is deceptive / underhanded business practices. I'm a ** year old senior on a fixed income. I'm filing a complaint to the ***** of ** ********* about this. Complaints may also be filed to ** ********, the ***, ** ******** *******, etc.
