            I have a few issues with my roof: 1. Water leak at the water heater vent pipe 2. Non-functional ridge vents 3. Compromised plywood sheeting at ridge June 27th: Send an e-mail with above concerns and a PDF document describing the issues. PDF file that I sent attached below. Company acknowledged receiving e-mail the same day. June 30th or July 1st: Person from company came to house and inspected water heater vent pipe and attic. He said to keep an eye on the water leak and after the July 4th holiday, he will be in contact. July 8th: Sent company a video of the water leaking during rainstorm. July 11th: Company said someone will be there tomorrow. They never showed. July 13th: Sent e-mail about no-show July 14th: Company said they would talk to operations manager in the morning and get back to me the same day. I never heard from them. I don't have an exact start date, as I thought they didn't start when they initially said they would. They then ran out of materials near the end, so the finish date was delayed by a couple of weeks. The start date was around mid February and they finished early March. I purchased the extended 25 year warranty, which the contact says includes all labor and materials. However, this is really all a workmanship issue. I feel the company is not communicating well at all and a reasonable about of time has passed to fix the issues, especially that there is a water leak that is damaging my ceiling.

            In November 2023 I contracted with South Florida Roofing for a shingle roof on the single-family home in ********* **. Before the contract, I had told them several times that the 6 soffits needed to be sealed up so the Palm Rats could get into the attic. I know this is important because we had them, and I had paid for an exterminator to remove them and seal up the potential entry points. If you can side your hand in between the shingle and the soffit the palm rats can easily slip in and out. In two days they were finished. I commented again to thesite leader (******) that the soffits needed to be sealed down to shingles, and got a positive response. Weeks later I have not made the final payment since I have not received the confirmation that the 6 soffits were sealed, and the final bill. The bill arrived and an inferior picture of one of the soffits with a statement that they were all sealed, so I paid the final bill. Eleven weeks later, I am finally back in Florida and from the ground I was able to see thesoffits and they were certainly not sealed at all. Only one of them still had the aluminum extrusion that terminated the soffit vent panels that rested against the shingles. When I finally viewed the two remaining soffits they were no better and the aluminum piece was all bent up. I was lied to by Southern Florida Roofing. Further phone calls resulted in no action or response. I have climbed on the roof and sealed down all six soffits to the shingles. I also bought rat traps that I baited in the attic to catch any palm rats that might have taken up residence. I hate writing reviews like this, but if someone has taken my money and not completed the job they are stealing, which I can't tolerate. On top of that, I was lied to.

            ****************** was contacted to discuss the issues he mentioned in his review. Based on the pictures he had sent to us I did agree we could have done a better job sealing the soffit area and apologized for our poor communication.I asked if there was anything he would like us to do for him at this time and offered to send out a service crew. ****************** said he had already made the corrections. I gave ****************** my direct contact information if he ever needed anything in the future to contact me directly.
