The technician, *****************, was very knowledgable, highly efficient, and professional. I would request to have him back to my home to complete my AC maintenance because he was so polite and kind with explaining all services and unfamiliar terms to me, however, Veterans Air has been unreliable with keeping scheduled appointments. I hesitate to set up future maintenance agreements with them.Review from Peter G

I had the do my electrical for a generator and had to have 2 service calls on my water heater because they did not connect it properly. They sold me a %269 maintenance contract and 6 months later never heard a peek from them so I called and right away they wanted to schedule service. This was after I had them come out for a bad GFI outlet and $243 later it was fixed. The maintenance contract is not like I was use to with superior air conditioning it is you pay them to come out and find something wrong so they can charge you more money. I have a 2018 ******* mobile home and they came out for plumbing maintenance and the suggestion was a new water heater because it had pex piping and it would eventually leak and to replace all the water lines because they were Pex and they would eventually leak. So spend $11,000 on something that is working just fine maybe they should call the mobile home manufacturers and tell them what they are doing wrong!!!! The electrical service rep was a super nice guy and helpful!!Veteran Air, Heating & Electrical Response

Look for literally any other company. No itemized breakdown of parts, labor, or anything else! I wanted to replace a sink faucet which ended up costing $430. 5 weeks later there was a leak under the sink that cost $279. A simple aesthetic faucet fix cost me over $700. Again no itemization of cost. My lawn guy even itemizes what he does. The plumber stated he would send an itemized breakdown and the company says its flat rate only. I feel very taken advantage of.Veteran Air, Heating & Electrical Response

I am a senior and I do not recommend anyone to use this company's services. They installed a new Trane Air Handler and condenser system in November 2021 and 15 months later the evaporator coil was leaking and VA said it would cost $1500 to replace. I complained to the manufacturer who reimbursed me for some of this cost. VA were at my property for no more than 2 hours so that's a pretty hefty fee for 2 hours work. In September 2023 they sent one of their plumbers to fix a problem with the rear overflow pipes in our master bedroom - the pipes had come away from the sink. Their quoted rate was $230/hr for 2 hours work, for a total of $460, to glue two pipes back onto the overflow outlet on the sink. The tech even told me he had to go and purchase the right glue while still charging me for his time. This hourly rate for such a simple job is pure and simple a total rip-off. Here's how VA works: they got me to buy an annual service contract which entitled me to two service visits a year in the Spring & Fall. The techs themselves seem to be legit and can mostly speak English. When they came to my property for the Spring service they serviced both the AC units and sent me a report of what they had done which is fine. However, they always send a couple of other quotes for additional work they say needs to be done - in my case this was $2000 of additional work on just my 2 AC systems. In the Fall service visit they refused to send me a report of what they has done - instead I got 35 pictures taken from a smartphone with nothing to connect these pictures to the work they had done. I pointed this out to VA A/P and they said someone from service management would call me but they never did. Result is all trust is gone and I have switched to another vendor.Veteran Air, Heating & Electrical Response

Dear ****,
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your experiences with Veteran Air, and have reached out to you directly to address your concerns. We genuinely appreciate your candor, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you've encountered. We value your business and take your concerns seriously.
Regarding the issue with your Trane system, we regret any frustration caused by the evaporator coil leakage. We want to clarify that our pricing is based on a flat-rate system, ensuring transparency and consistency. Our 2 technicians spent a total of 7 hours of work on your job. Beyond the cost of the labor of our technicians, however, our flat price also includes our warranties and guarantees on our work, the backside support such as ordering and processing your parts warranty, returning the failed coil to the manufacturer and disposal fees, to name a few. We will review our communication to ensure that our customers have a clear understanding of the charges associated with our services.
In regards to the plumbing service, our pricing reflects the expertise of our technicians and the quality of the service provided, including the warranty of our work. In your case, we spent a total of 4.75 hours on your job.
Your concerns about the additional work quoted during service visits are duly noted. We want to provide our customers the opportunity to conduct preventive maintenance to improve reliability and enhance the comfort of their homes. There is no pressure for your to accept these estimate, we offer them free of charge along with our system evaluation report to ensure our customers are able to make informed decisions.
We sincerely regret the oversight in the Fall service visit, where the report did not meet your expectations. If you would like a new report sent, please let us know. Again, we are attempting to reach you by phone at this time. We understand that trust is vital in our relationship with our customers, and we regret that we fell short in your case. If you have any further concerns or would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please feel free to contact us directly at 941-751-2781 or [email protected].

Thanks for your note,Re: Trane evaporator coil replacement. Please provide me with the part number and cost of the part replaced. When I asked your service manager for this he refused to provide it. This means it's impossible to find out what you are charging for labor so I suggest you provide simple honest transparency for your customers so when they ask for this level of detail you will provide it. I don't have a problem with you making a bit of money on a part; my pool equipment servicer, as an example, always provides me with part numbers, parts costs and labor costs as separate line items so I feel he is being honest with me. Not the case with VA.WRT the VA plumber - my tenant confirms the amount of time he was at the property and in terms of skill level - he had to glue the existing drain pipe to the drain outlet on two bathroom sinks. Is this a high skill level that warrants your stated invoice cost of $230/hr? This is double what I would expect to pay, in ** so I suggest you review your rates,On the additional quotes you send with every service visit - you have been "recommending" capacitor upgrades for my Daikin 10T system for @ 3 years now and it's still working fine. Yes you should make recommendations but only for work that it is absolutely clear to both parties that the work has to be done otherwise there will be a performance or safety failure. To just receive an email with $2000 of additional quotes is a poor way to communicate with your customers - if your techs/managers actually spent time with me explaining in detail why these recommendations are so needed, then I may have considered differently. Right now, I feel you're using these service appointments to get into my property and as I say - quote for anything and everything related to the ** systems. Is this your standard business practice?Yes I would like a proper report for the ************ visit sent to me - thanks.Review from Lisa T

2 months ago, August 11, 2023 a new ** unit from Veterans Air was installed in my home. It's now October 13, 2023 and the ** has stopped working. I called the 24/7 emergency line and was told it would be 4 days before someone could come out. They got their money - $10K and now they don't care if you are suffering from heat stroke in your own home with the heat index outside of 105. Beware of Veterans Air! Their reviews may be great after initial installation but once they have your money their customer service stinks! The install still has not passed inspection because there were unsealed holes. That's probably why the glue smell permeated throughout the house and made me ill. After several "no show" appointments and me having to take several days off from work, Veterans Air finally showed up. Inspection still hasn't been rescheduled and now the unit doesn't work which means more time away from work. Stay clear of Veterans Air!Veteran Air, Heating & Electrical Response

I requested an initial check for my AC which was not cooling efficiently. Two technicians were dispatched to my location and I instructed them to investigate hot spots and rebalance registers. Despite having paid for the service call, a disagreement arose. The technicians said you would have to pay $4,000 to have the evaporator coil replaced. Additionally, you would have to spend $115 for each pound of refrigerant. They did not offer any other options, but I refused to pay for excessive repairs. After they left, I found the system in an unprofessional state with wires hanging and drain lines disconnected. There was so much water in the drain pan that it was overflowing. Its a shame because I've been a customer for a few years.Veteran Air, Heating & Electrical Response

Do NOT use this company! After nearly $3000, 7 visits and 6 technicians, our a/c unit still isn't working! Now they want $2000 to install a new evaporator coil which is under warranty. I called a different company and they would charge $795. My husband is seriously considering taking Veterans air to small claims court for fraudulent practices!Veteran Air, Heating & Electrical Response

We completely understand Laurie's frustration. Her AC system was installed by another company and has had a mechanical problems since installation. Veteran Air has worked diligently to resolve the issues, but the unit has indeed had multiple issues, so we understand why the Laurie and her husband are frustrated. We have currently reached a resolution with the homeowners, and they intend to update this review once we receive and install their part, which is currently backordered with the manufacturer. Though this situation has been challenging for all involved, Veteran Air remains committed to going above and beyond for our customers to ensure their satisfaction.

SENIORS BEWARE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH ELECTRICAL SERVICES FOR SERVICE PANEL UPGRADE; Pipes not connected, I was told they would use house frame to run pipe but didn't, just partially attached with zip ties and the rest laying all over the ground. Paid an extra $750 for 2 outlets in the kitchen, as you can see in the pics, they never even bothered to use a stud finder until after hacking the walls up. They left a live wire under the kitchen sink, luckily I found it as the plumbers were installing a sink!! I live in a retirement community, and they were here working until 11:30 at night, then again the next day. After repeated attempts asking them to please stop, I was told that because they started hours late they needed the extra time. They were hours late because they didn't have the materials they needed to start, but 4 days prior they estimated and knew exactly what was needed. Then they still had to run to home depot to get more. I'm a retired veteran and I thought because of their name, and seeing the good reviews for the a/c side, they would be trustworthy for the electrical, BIG MISTAKE. If you are a trusting senior citizen DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! Please see the attached photos of their poor workmanship!!
