We went to Chang’s Car Care on 2/17/23 to have the spark plugs replaced on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, this service in addition to an oil change and front brake pads was completed on 2/20/23. We picked up the vehicle and paid Chang’s Car Care in full in the amount of $667.07 on 2/20/23. Since we picked up the truck from Chang’s Car Care on 2/20/23 the vehicle was handling rough, and we noticed reduced engine performance. These symptoms did not occur prior to us having the vehicle serviced by Chang's. We requested the spark plugs be changed because the vehicle has 105,000 miles and was time for spark plugs to be changed. The vehicle was not experiencing any issues, it was just time for the tune-up. On 2/23/23 we returned the truck to Chang’s Car Care and we discussed the symptoms that the truck was having since our last visit on 2/20/23 with the owner. It was determined by Chang’s mechanic that one of the spark plugs that was installed during our 2/17/23 – 2/20/23 service was faulty and the spark plug was replaced. Since the 2/23/23 visit to Chang’s we noticed that the symptoms on our truck were still occurring. There was no improvement in the performance and the handling of the vehicle. We decided to take the truck to *** Automotive Repair for a second opinion and inspection. On 5/4/23 we took the vehicle back to *** Automotive because the vehicle was still handling rough, and we asked them to inspect the spark plugs. It was noticed that # 6-cylinder spark plug was faulty and needed to be replaced, also we were advised to have all the spark plug wires replaced as well. The spark plug wires were damaged by Chang's as they were aggressively pulled out during the initial spark plug replacement, and even the wire connectors had come loose from the aggressive removal and instead of replacing the wires they were just put back. This cost us another $469.27 to correct the faulty work from Chang's. Chang's received a letter from us on 5/15/23 but never responded.Business response
