We apologize for the miscommunication on this project. There were quite a bit of hoops we needed to jump through since you had a contractor already hired to do your roof. Since he pulled the permit to start your project we could not start until he closed out the permit he pulled.
After weeks of going back and forth with the contractor you hired, he finally closed out the permit; so we could apply for ours. It took about two weeks for ******** to issue the permit for ** to start the work and right when the permit was issued, we came out to start the job. We couldn't finish the roof until we get the approved in progress inspection. We had that scheduled on the first day of starting the job, but the inspector didn't show up. We could not finish the job. After being notified by you about the gutters, we had a service tech come out and reinstall those gutters the next day.

vvHad estimate for $850 to Remove shingles at bottom of valley, seal flashing and reshingle. Also says seal crack in stucco. Fellow came at 9 AM and as I did not see any shingles just a large pail of black roof cement I inquired what his plan was. Went on roof for about One hour. Asked him about the replaced ******** and he said they were good and not have to be replaced. Asked about the stucco crack and said they do not repair that even though it is on the estimate. Cant get up to check the work but feel the price was way too high for what they did as to what the estimate said they would do and I thought do. Ofice just said bill sounds about right for that repair. Fellow banged around on the roof for maybe another 45 minutes and said he was done. When I scheduled the repair the girl said it would be a half day job. If I knew they were just going to slop roof seal I would never had agreed to an $850 price for that. I paid as I did sign the estimate but my vision of the Old Time Truck with tools and shingles and flashing hanging over the side faded to a jeep with I guy and a can of $50 sealer. LOL I did note out of over a hundred great reviews none were for repair so maybe that is just not their Forte!

      **********************,

A Old Time Roofing was contracted to remove shingles at the bottom of the valley, and seal the flashing to fix a leak, also seal a crack in your stucco. We did exactly that. We sealed the crack in the stucco, you asked ************** to remove and replace the stucco, which as ************** told you, is not the work he was contracted to do, nor is that something our company offers as a service in the first place.  Regarding the shingles the technician fixed the leak that was found at the bottom of the valley and once he was putting the shingles back, they showed no signs of wear and tear. ************** called his supervisor and asked for approval to re-install said shingles. The supervisor approved that they were in perfect condition. ************** also went above and beyond by sealing all of windows on the 2nd story and two windows on the 1st story.  Your wife tipped **************, and since we havent received a call that the roof is still leaking, we assumed you were satisfied with our services. I apologize that we did not give you the experience you were hoping for. If youd like, we can send our supervisor, ***, back out to talk to you directly about rectifying this situation. Please feel free to reach out to our office for scheduling if youd like to do so.

      Thank you,

      A Old Time Roofing

I am rejecting this response because: To clarify, when the tech said the stucco had a lot of cracks I asked if your company did that repair and he said no but he had a friend that did but never gave me his information and never said he sealed the crack that was on the estimate so I thought it was not done. I stayed in the garage as I have trouble walking so when he said he was done he  was only here about one and a half hours when the office told me it would be a half day job. Now that you say he sealed the windows, which was a nice gesture but that means he only spent about one hour on the original repair.  My problem is if you deduct the $50 or so for the pail of roof sealer I paid $800 labor for an hour on the original repair. *************** does not charge me that much so I feel it is totally out of line for any type of repair.

      Sincerely,

      *******************************
