During my time renting, I had several issues with the plumbing backing up and overflowing and sewage damaging my belongings. I notified the landlord of the issue and it was not acknowledged for two weeks, when it occurred again. Again, I reached out to *************** ***** did come out this time, but not for another 5 days as he refused to fix my toilet (AN EMERGENCY) because I had towels wrapped around the base to soak up the sewage and water where it was overflowing. During this period of time, I was unable to use the restroom. I decided to find a new place to live after this. I notified the landlords that I would be moving out 45 days in advance (month to month lease) at the end of August. In the second week of July, the landlord ***** entered into my apartment twice without giving any notice or receiving permission and proceeded to leave agitated voicemails that he needed to show the apartment right away, that I needed to finish my move and clean. I sent the landlords an email stating that I had begun my move, but I still had paid my final months rent in full and intended on keeping my final move out date that I had sent in writing. ****** offered as an incentive for my early move out to prorate my rent. I did end up moving out early, July 18th, as I felt pressured by my landlords unsolicited entrance into my apartment and phone calls, and their offer to prorate seemed reasonable. I reached out to ****** yesterday to inquire about the status of my security deposit return and that prorated rent. She said the security deposit check would be reissued but she doesn't owe me any prorated rent, as no new tenant moved in until after August 1st. I surrendered the property (which I had paid the month in full for) to them on July 18th, I have photos of my key on the counter date stamped and our email correspondence. I feel that this company is predatory & neglectful toward tenants. Also--their parking spots are not to code width.
