Recently moved from Las Vegas to Largo, FL. Called College Hunks to move our belongings from Largo to our new house in Clearwater, FL. Experience with College Hunks is extremely unsatisfactory. They didn't provide us with a large truck and had to make 2 trips. We then found out that they had left additional belongings at the Largo location. This move started on 4-18. Called their office on 4-19, which is a call center as this is a franchise business. I have made over 20 phone calls including the cell phone numbers of the franchise owner and office manager. Neither one of them had the courtesy of returning my calls. We were quoted one price and at the end of the trips were charged a much higher price. Now I have broken dishes to file a claim on and they won't call me back. Never gave us a copy of the bill of lading as "they ran out of forms". After a 1 1/2 months of calls, left messages etc., we rented a truck and picked up the items ourselves. Turned out that where we rented the truck the local franchise office was across the street from the truck rental. We went to the office, saw the office manager, finally gave us a copy front/back of bill of lading, which had the instructions for filing claim. We finally received a small refund from College Hunks for cost of the rental truck and the difference for the overcharge. I want my dishes replaced that they broke, and I'm being told that they are considering my account closed and won't reimburse me for my broken dishes. My husband was watching them load the shipping barrel with my dishes and the one guy dropped it in the truck. All I want is to be made whole. This was the worst experience I have ever had with moving. I have moved from New York to Las Vegas to Florida and have had great experiences with long haul with no issues or broken dishes, but to move 7 miles and be treated the way they have treated us is totally unacceptable. I highly recommend that no one should use College Hunks for any kind of moving. Zero Rate.
