It's the lack of principle for me. I'm a first time home owner roof replacer and I would never recommend this company to anyone. The job took over a year and the interior is still not complete due to the quality of work I told them to not continue. They falsified an insurance document stating the job was complete to receive a pay check. You can clearly see the paint job in the pictures below. I don't have pictures of the roof but the business etiquette and practices with the condescending tone through emails and text messages is enough to negate any top brand shingle they could have applied to my roof. Between dealing with the owner Donald ***** and his associate Marc *****, I would clearly run the other way when this company comes knocking around. I have plenty of emails, text messages and pictures to document my statements and I hope to save another homeowner a terrible experience as I have had.

This review is not at all accurate. This project was approved for production on 8/6/21. Materials were ordered and the roof was put on the schedule to be started on 8/25/21. It was completed on 8/27/21. Less than 1 month later the gutters were done which is standard timing for a project like this one. The only other work we contracted for this project was interior painting due to a minor leak. We schedule our painter to come out to complete the interior almost immediately after the roof was complete. The customer then decided our work was sub par and asked my painter to leave. She then asked that we subtract the interior work from the contract and the scope of work which we did. The painter I sent to do the job has done hundreds of jobs like this one and was fully capable of completing this job correctly if he had the opportunity to do so. He did not. So to claim that we did not finish the agreed scope of work is false. Mrs. ******* asked us not to finish and we honored her request. We then subtracted any funds for the painting from the balance. What prevented this project from being paid out and completed is the fact that it was funded by the homeowners insurance company and the mortgage company was also on the check. Normally we have our in house office staff handle dealing with mortgage companies to expedite that process as this can delay our payments substantially. The homeowner refused to give us the contact info for her mortgage company or permission to handle the processing of the checks and therefore it took almost 9 months to get the job paid. We were done with the roof on 8/27/21 and all of the agreed upon work on 9/17/21. The final payment was finally made 5/11/22 due the the slow processing of the insurance and mortgage checks. During this whole process Mrs. ******* expressed her unpleasant experience in dealing with the project manager on the job at which time I told her I, the owner of the company would personally see the project through and assured her I would complete everything to her satisfaction. I even offered to do a wood rot repair on her rear soffit that had nothing to do with the project or the insurance claim work that was covered to make up for any inconveniences. (see attached email correspondence) She accepted the offer and I took a $1,500 loss at my expense. Once the free upgrade and soffit repair was done Mrs. ******* became unresponsive. I reached out many times via phone and email to collect and finally she emailed me back and said she would make payments on the 4 thousand dollar balance at $100 a month. We have waited 9 months to be paid and now she wanted me to wait over 3 more years to be paid in full. At this point I let her know that that will not be acceptable and we need to be paid much sooner than that. Mrs. ******* again became unresponsive for several more weeks and I then had to let her know that I would be taking legal action if she did not respond and pay the balance. At that point she called into my office and paid the balance in full and then left a bad BBB review because she was upset that she didn't get to pocket the last 4k of her insurance money that was owed to Elite Roofing for the project we completed on her home. I have attached the email correspondence to support all that I just said. (see attached)

As the owner of a business he is allowed to defend his company, but not at the expense of making completely inaccurate statements. But again, Mr. ***** was out of the loop until the very end. The review and company is completely petty and shows once again poor practices as a business. I rather not go tit for tat since they seem to thrive on getting the last word. I'm glad to close this chapter and move on from this company. Again, steer clear of this business if you would like to be treated with respect.
