My partner/ex-husband financed a car with this credit union and we made all payments on time during the duration of the loan. My partner passed away on 1-21-22 and I surrendered the car shortly after his death because I could not make the payments on my income. After all this transaction was completed, I have been receiving statements on behalf of my ex showing a balance of around $1,600.00, showing dividends being added. I have written them several times explaining the situation and including a copy of his death certificate. I have requested to them to close this account so we can have closure and it is ridiculous to continue an account on a deceased person. They have never responded to any of my letters and have totally ignored my request. I need to finalize this matter so myself and his family can move on.

We do not have enough information to properly research this claim based on the comments entered. Community Credit Union of Florida is not able to provide comment about specific members or accounts to outside entities for privacy and security reasons. We have reached out directly and have been able to come to a satisfactory resolution.
