Contract was signed on January 26, 2023 to replace the roof damaged by Hurricane ***. Work was tarted in May 2023 and the permit was closed on 7/25/23 self inspection by the contractor. I notified the contractor of the issue of water leaking in to our soffits in late September, finally had a Hammer Roofing employee ***** come out in late October. He told me my gutters were clogged which was clearly not the issue. I instructed him to take a house to the valley channel where the issue is and recreated the issue. He tried to sell me new gutters for the front of my house and sent *****, his soffit/gutter installer out a week later. ***** didnt understand why he was there because the soffits and gutter were fine, the water was coming from the roof. Eventually they sent the roofing installer in early December who did not fix the issue. This cant be fixed with caulk. ******** calls, text and voice messages to both ***** and the alleged owner *********************************** have been unanswered. This issue is in urgent need of repair since I have electrical motors for my lanai storm screens and now have a ruined speaker from water draining in to my soffits. I also now have concerns that I will have other issues due to poor workmanship. The roof valley channel appears to have been improperly installed and the water doesnt make it to the edge of the roof to the gutters and this is clearly visable when it rains out or when a hose is used to recreate the issue. Im trying to avoid taking legal action which I have never had to do but Im fully prepared to do so if this issue doesnt get resolved. I have been beyond patient and its discouraging that a business operates in this manner.Initial Complaint

In April of 2022 we had a roof leak and reached out to ******* from Hammer Roofing. ******* was prompt and professional. He came out and spent quite a bit of time on our roof, diagnosed the issue and sent out a crew to have it fixed. We were charged $4500 for this repair and received a warranty for 12 months.In September of 2022 after Hurricane ***, we had a leak in the same spot and reached out immediately. There was an office manager who took a message but we never heard back. We called several times. Sometimes someone was available to leave a message, but most of the time the phone was not answered. We finally got ahold of someone who said he was the owner and he did send out a crew. He said ******* was no longer employed by the company and things were confused. They were up on the roof for about 15 minutes, but were not able to communicate with us due to a language barrier. We did not hear back from the office though we called many times. It has been almost two months since we tried to get this taken care of and they are not returning calls or helping us in any way. I feel $4500 was a lot of money to spend and to not return our calls or honor their warranty is a disgrace.
