    I rented a car through a 3rd party provider (****). When I got to the pick up location, the business had many different companies listed on the building (nextcar, priceless, Mco...) so it is hard to even know which company you're actually renting from. Upon return of the vehicle, a staff member who did the vehicle inspection went directly to the windshield and started pointing out tiny (pinhead size) scratches/chips in the windshield. A total of 3. Someone would not notice the scratches unless they're looking hard for them. He told me that I needed to put in a claim with my insurance. I sent pictures to a nearby repair shop and the lady on the phone told me there is nothing to repair, it's normal wear and tear. She repeated this for the staff member to hear but he dismissed it. I put in a claim at their request & provided the claim number. Before leaving, the staff member asked me to pay them $532.50 (deductible + taxes). I told him I would pay that to my insurance company if they approve the claim. He then goes to talk to his boss and returns to tell me to just pay them $250 if I cannot pay the $532.50. I tell him I will not and that I will go through my insurance. 2 days later I find a $500 charge to my credit card. My insurance requested an itemized invoice of windshield repair, which they have yet to provide. I have sent several emails asking for the return of the $500 if they cannot justify the charge, all of which went ignored. No one has even attempted to provide an explanation to justify the charge.

    We reserved a car rental with Next Car in 5/2025, for pick up on 7/10/2025. On 7/10/2025 after our flight landed, we went to the Next Car pick up spot (Spot C277) at the Orlando airport around 950pm. The complimentary shuttle was not there,so we called to request pick up. We were told that their shuttles stop running at 930pm (no where does it say this online,etc.) but we were told that they would have a shuttle come to pick up spot (SPOT C277)We waited exactly 30mins and no shuttle ever came by,we called again at 1030pm and were told that they will send a shuttle(even though we already requested one)so we asked where the original shuttle was. They said he is in terminal A but their pick up is ONLY IN TERMINAL C.We ubered to their office instead.We got there at 10:51pm (they close at 11pm).It was clear that the shuttle had not moved from its place and was parked for the night.******** could not find our reservation so he remade it. As ******** is remaking our reservation I asked Dominica (worker) what happened to the shuttle service. She said a driver came but did not see us and TOOK A PICTURE proving that we were not there. We waited over 45mins for him. I asked to see the picture, Dominica said that she would print it out to show me but she went to the back room and never came back. We had trouble with insurance documents, so in the middle of the reservation ******** let us know that its past closing time and we have exactly 4mins. We finally found our document, but ******** kicked us out and turned the lights off.We are 3 women in a city that we do not know, now on the side of the road at 11pm. As were getting kicked out I asked ******** if they do this to everyone and he responds yep Not only do they kick us out the building but we also got kicked out of the fenced in property, now on the side of the road. Dominica and ******** drove off immediately.Leaving us stranded.We called the next day to complain and they stated that they can do whatever they want

    Transaction date- June ******* for a rental car from June26-July2 I arrived at the airport at 9:15PM. I contacted the NextCar facility in Orlando so that they could pick me up, as they direct you to do. I had to call next car three times and they never showed up to pick my family up. Eventually, I took an **** to the next car facility and arrived there at 10:15. .NextCar said I was too late and that my reservation was canceled. I asked to rent a car and they said that they did not accept walk-ins. I explained that I was not a walk-in and I had a reservation, but they said there was no way I could get a car. They then told me and my family that we had to leave the facility as they were closing at 11 oclock. I was put out on the street with my wife and two small children. We had to contact an **** and then stay at a hotel. Even though they told me my contract had been canceled for the car, they still charged me $305. I would like my money back for the car and also for the hotel room I was forced to purchase.

    Date: 02/15/2025 Amount: ****** For: Car rental I booked a car rental with Nextcar for pickup on 02/15/2025 in the amount of ******. The pickup time was for 11am, with a one hour window after the pickup time to get the car. I arrived shortly after 11am, with a long line in front of me and one representative helping customers. By the time I got to the front desk, it was around 12:30pm and the agent said the car had been given to someone else. They offered a different car option that would be an extra $400 but I declined. The agent said that I could contact the company and receive a refund since I was at the location on time and they weren't able to do the refund at the counter.I contacted the company for a refund on March 25th and did not receive a single response from them until June 23rd after multiple follow up emails. I tried calling them multiple times and the phone call would not go through even when trying with different phones. In this time, I disputed the charge with my credit card company since Nextcar was being unresponsive. Nextcar responded to the dispute with false claims about this being a "No show" even though I was at the business at the reservation time, they just didn't have enough employees to help customers quickly. The reviews for this company show that this is not the first time Nextcar has done this to its customers.I would like to receive the refund that I was promised by the agent at the counter since Nextcar could not provide the service that I paid for.

    ****************************** NextCar Rental - Location: *********************************************************** - Dates of Rental: March 27, 2025 - March 29, 2025 - Issue: Unreturned Security Deposit *Description of Issue*I rented a car from NextCar Rental on March 27, 2025, and returned it on March 29, 2025, without any damages and with a full fuel tank. However, my security deposit has not been released. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, my attempts to contact NextCar Rental about this issue have been ignored or blocked.*Impact*As a result of the hold on my security deposit, my credit card has generated a balance that I did not have prior to submitting the deposit. I am requesting that NextCar Rental release my security deposit immediately.*Resolution*I would like NextCar Rental to:1. Release my security deposit in full.2. Confirm in writing that the deposit has been released and that my credit card will no longer be charged.3. Provide a timeline for when I can expect the deposit to be released.*Supporting Documentation*I have attached copies of my rental agreement, proof of return, and correspondence with NextCar Rental.*Request for BBB Assistance*I am seeking the assistance of the Better Business Bureau in resolving this issue with NextCar Rental.     Good afternoon,My wife and I picked up a vehicle from One Switch/Next Car Rental at *** via ******** on 29 Mar 25.**** told us that there would be a $250 hold until the vehicle was returned. We returned the vehicle (early) in impeccable condition on 1 Apr 25 and to date the hold has not been released. Our funds are no longer on HOLD but fully POSTED.We confirmed that the condition was great (********/****/*****/) and the vehicle has already been re-rented but the BRANCH has to make the final decision on the release for the now POSTED funds.Why are they allowed to post, keep, hold and USE our $250 for ***** days after photo confirmation of great condition after having re-rented the vehicle.The policy needs to be changed and we would like our funds returned immediately to take care of our needs.     I purchased a rental car through economy bookings which offered full coverage insurance that I bought. Once I got to Orlando to pick up my car. I was informed the insurance I purchased was useless so I had to purchase insurance through next car for ******. Not to mention I sat in line for over an hour before I was helped. Then I had to return the vehicle before their business hours so I had to pay an additional ***** to drive the car to the airport for drop off. I would have been better off going through enterprise right at the airport. Worst rental car experience ever. Never again. They advertise a low price but have all their hidden fees.

    Next Car's communication with me before my arrival for pick-up was subpar. The confirmation email had several typos, which is unprofessional and unpolished for a business trying to compete with *****, Enterprise, and the like for customers.The per-day cost is less expensive than larger competitors; however, the deposit hold is ridiculous and misleading. The confirmation email stated that the deposit/hold would be, and I quote, directly from the confirmation email... " The security deposit varies from $250 USD to $500 USD for all cars."I was told upon pick up that my security deposit was $2,500.... yes.... TWO-THOUSAND FIVE-HUNDRED DOLLARS. When I asked the staff member who was checking me in why the cost was so high, and why was it different than what was shared in the confirmation email, which I showed him, he stated that he was not sure, and that is what the system determined based on the car I chose. I even showed him the email which stated the deposit would be $1,000 (which was also contradictory to what was stated in the confirmation email, but he said there was nothing he could do. Instead of arguing, holding up the line, or getting my fiance even more upset, I told him to run my card and begrudgingly accepted the security deposit.The security deposit amount being sprung on me after traveling across the country for several hours is unacceptable, especially when it directly opposes what was stated in my confirmation email. Moving forward, I would never utilize NextCar or recommend anyone to do so.

    I picked up my rental car on 12/13/24. When I picked up the car I was charged an additional $443.96 I was not expecting as the vehicle was already reserved through ************** I did not have any other options, I paid for the full-sized sedan instead of the compact car I agreed to on the booking. On 12/17/24 I returned my rental car to NextCar at *****************************************************************. The car was returned in the same condition as received. I have waited 2 months now for my $250 deposit to be returned. I have emailed many times and attempted phone calls with no resolution. I come to find there are many people with the same complaints about this business. I want compensation for my time, the extra they charged me, and the credit card interest from the deposit.

    I rented the car from this company on January 1, 2025. My experience was bad from the very beginning. The gentleman at the counter demanded to see my declarations page on my car insurance which I did not have as I was traveling from **** to ******* for a funeral. He would not accept my insurance card that I had on my State Farm app. I had to call my husband and he had to locate the declarations page. Then the gentleman told me to go out and check the car for any damage before I drove off. The car was parked in the darkest spot of the parking lot. I had to use my cell phone flashlight to inspect the vehicle in the dark. I asked what the earliest time was for me to return the vehicle to get a shuttle for my flight out the next day. They asked what time I needed to be at the airport, I said 6 AM and they said that that should be fine. Not very reassuring. So I ended up turning the car in a night early and taking an **** from the rental company to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport, thus incurring additional expenses. I have received my credit card bill and it still shows the $250 security deposit on there. I have called and emailed the company and was told it would be refunded in ***** business. Yesterday was the 30th business day and still no refund. And now I have a finance charge on my credit card. I just got off the phone with their customer service line after waiting for ************************************************* The representative said she would send another email. I asked to speak to a supervisor and there was no one that she could let me speak to to get this remedied today.
