We met with an estimator for Bramlett Electric in Oct 2021. We discussed that we wanted 2 outside lights and 2 outside outlets installed on the back wall of the house. We wanted these on their own breaker and discussed the 2 options for the new breaker, the pool panel or the main panel. After installation, we discovered that they were tied into our bedroom lines, not on a dedicated breaker as discussed with their representative. The issues is: 1. The installers obviously did not know what we contracted for so they grabbed the closest wiring to the new job. 2. Our outside lights are now tied into the household smoke detectors along with other inside lights/outlets. We did not order this. We do not want our outside lights to short out and disable our smoke detectors. The builder has already overloaded the wiring in this house to where we cannot plug a vacuum into certain lines. We do not need additional items installed on any of the wiring in the home. We wanted a dedicated breaker and paid specifically for this work to be done. I have tried to work with this company to correct the problem but have been met with silence on the issue after they repeatedly take the stand that their work up to code regardless of the fact that it is not what we ordered. These 2 lights and 2 outlets were to be on their own breaker and they are not. They do not answer my emails regarding this. When they had to return to correct some other work, I was told on the phone by Mr. Bramlett that they are not going to do anything about the wiring as it is up to code. I do not understand what the issue is with their correcting the problem. I'm not complaining about any of the other issues that have been resolved at this point only the outside lights and outlets not being on a dedicated breaker. Unfortunately, we paid their invoice in full when we should not have as we now have a partially completed job.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/17) */ Contact Name and Title: Candace B******* Contact Phone: 352-629-7295 Contact Email: [email protected] We gave Mr. & Mrs. ***** a verbal estimate at their home for the work they requested. We installed a dedicated circuit in the garage, (3) W/R GFI's and (2) flood lights with LED lamps. Everything was installed per the National Electrical Code and is working properly. We have even returned to re-program the remotes at no charge. We are not privy to their existing wiring issues as we did not install the wiring when the home was built. We have tried to explain to them several times they received the work they paid for. We believe they misunderstood the scope of work and if they wanted another dedicated circuit it would have cost them more money. We have been in business for 42 years and this is only the second complaint we have ever had. We pride ourselves on expert work and customer satisfaction. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/12/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Yes, a verbal estimate was given to me and Mr. ***** from Bramlett Electric's representative. Mrs. Bramlett was not present during the discussion of the work to be performed or delivery of the estimate and therefore cannot speak firsthand as to what was agreed to with her representative. I have had a few conversations with Mrs. Bramlett via telephone and I have explained the issue to her. She was to investigate and get back to us. I had to call again. I was told that this work was up to code but that she would check again with the estimator who took our order and gave us the estimate. We were gone for 20 days and still had no response from her upon our return so I reverted to email to which there are no responses in this form of contact either regarding this issue. The company received the emails I sent as I did mention the outlet programming error issue via email and Mr. Bramlett did call to say he was sending someone over to reprogram the remote switches. I asked what about the wiring issue and his response was that it was up to code and he was not going to do anything about that. Other than the phone call regarding the remotes not working properly, nothing else in my emails was responded to and certainly nothing written. Everything thus far from Bramlett Electric has been verbal except to ask if we were going to home for them to come by, apparently for the outlet programming. We have not questioned whether the work was up to code. The issue is we contracted for a dedicated breaker for those lights and outlets, feeding from either electrical panel, the pool panel or the main panel. These lights/outlets are now connected to our bedroom wiring that includes the smoke detectors. We would never have agreed to put an additional load on our wiring that included the smoke detectors. There was no misunderstanding between myself, my husband and the estimator, the Bramlett representative. A dedicated line/breaker was to be installed for the lights and outlets. That line was going to be run from either the pool breaker box or the main panel. This is what was discussed with their representative, agreed upon and that is what was quoted and that is what we paid for but that is not what we received. As to them returning to re-program remotes at no charge. When we went to use the outlets for the first time, they were not working properly. One of the outside lights would come on when the outlet was turned on, in addition to the light coming on when the light switch was turned on. I would hope that any reputable company would come at no charge to assure the items were working properly after installation. We did not bring up the remotes or any other issues in our complaint. The only issue we have is the lights/outlets were to be on a dedicated breaker, using either electric panel available. No other work performed by Bramlett Electric other than the wiring of these lights/outlets are in question at this time. I am sure Bramlett Electric is a fine company however our relationship with them has not resulted in a job completed as contracted nor resulted in customer satisfaction. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/01/14) */ It's obvious that Mrs. ***** is stuck on having two separate circuits. We gave her a separate circuit like I said in my previous response. The other work is tied to existing and is up to code. She is unhappy and we are sorry for the confusion. There is nothing else I can say at this point. We wish them well.
