            With 3 babies and a frail 85 year old, we would NEVER stay here again. We were never told we couldn’t have umbrellas or a shade for them on the beach… unless you pay another $400 for the service. Which we did, but we should have been informed. We were a 6 day—5 night stay. For 2.5 night our air on two floors was OUT and it was 85 degrees in the home. Not only is this unsafe for those in our group, we were all miserable! We should have been given different accommodations or refunded. To spend over 10k for a home, this is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. When asked what there emergency crisis plan was for these situations, we were told that them giving us ONE box fan for a huge house was their plan. Our trip was ruined. And this rental company could CARE LESS. As a family form 4 states coming together, we will never use them again. I will say, the maintenance people were very kind & sympathetic. We also had to have a package returned after checkout & Pamela was so kind!

            Beware of unwarranted damage changes. Property rental and process overall met expectations... no problems there. The surprise came after returning home, when I was informed that I was being charged $167 for damages to a microwave handle. I am 100% certain there was no damage to the microwave handle at the time of our departure. I attempted to resolve the matter with My Vacation Haven. Unfortunately, they are prioritizing $167 (on a $4000 rental) over customer satisfaction. Whoever broke the handle will remain a mystery, but it did not happen during my stay. Though out of curiosity, if a plastic microwave handle is broken by attempting to use it to open a microwave then how is that the user's fault? Fortunately, no light bulbs burned out during our stay, or I would have probably been charged for that too. I rent multiple properties each year and will not be doing business with My Vacation Haven again. Enjoy your $167!

            A comprehensive property inspection was carried out before and after your stay. Damage to the microwave handle was noted during our post-departure check. To maintain our properties in excellent condition for all guests, we charged the card on file for the required repairs. As stated earlier, we are willing to offer a detailed cost breakdown and further clarify our policies. We realize this may have been inconvenient, and we apologize for that. However, we trust you understand our dedication to preserving the quality of our properties.
