My wife and I need to cancel our timeshare contract. With our developing health issues, our ability to travel has been diminished and we have concluded that as retirees on a fixed income, we cant afford to be spending our retirement money on a contract we cant even use anymore. We need to request that our membership with ************* be terminated and that we are released from the yearly maintenance fee as well. We have attempted to contact the resort but havent been able to get anywhere with them. Wed really appreciate it if youd help us with closing out our contract with them or at least in getting their attention. Thank you

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by ******* *************************** and Latitude Resorts. We signed up for a week-long stay in ******, enticed by the discounted price as long as we attended a meeting. During this meeting, we were sold on the idea of joining the ************* and investing in a timeshare, which was presented to us as a lucrative opportunity. We were treated with champagne and a lovely dinner on the day we signed the agreement. We were assured that this arrangement would be particularly beneficial for us as educators, allowing us to use our vacation time effectively. On the investment front, we were promised that you would rent out our unit, and the income generated would help us pay down our agreement. In addition, we were given the impression that there would be no maintenance fees if we booked through the ************* and that the rental income could be used for free travel. However, we later discovered that it was merely a percentage discount and not nearly as advantageous as initially portrayed. We were also led to believe that there was a termination clause in the contract, enabling us to sell back after one calendar year without penalty. Unfortunately, upon thorough review of our contract, we found no such provision. The situation has been further complicated by the fact that the area where our timeshare is located has been declared unsafe due to cartel activity. The funds we are currently directing towards a timeshare can be used in other important aspects of our lives. Given the above circumstances, we were misled into making a poor financial decision. We were not adequately instructed on how to utilize the timeshare, and now, considering the misleading information and the safety concerns, we have no desire to use it. We have reached out to this company trying to work with them directly only to be pushed aside and ignored. This company needs to take responsibility for our experience and allow us to be released from this contract immediately.

i went to ****** in august of 2021, i was approached by ********************** while i was staying at the ******* resort. they basically invited us to breakfast, giving us incentives to try and do a membership with them, basically like a timeshare. i was with my family, my aunt and cousin and while everything sounded good.. something didnt seem right. we ended up signing a contract with them for ****** but right after i came back from vacation, i lost my job due to covid so i wasn't able to continue with the monthly payments, my aunt lost her job as well so it was up to me. for the past two years i've been trying to end my membership and get out of this contract but this business has refused to negotiate, they continue to ask for more money in order for me to "Reach closer" to the 50% **** to help me cancel. i've explained to them numerous of times, it's been very unprofessional and when i search up the business, this number in ******* comes up, also my charges are from the merchant "RA resorts advantage" which also comes up as a ***** merchant, but when i call... im not able to get through. this has been very frustrating, i've never received anything in the mail, i keep getting a breach of clause email, and all my conversations have been through whatsapp. everything is very fishy about this, and they have numerous reviews on ****** about how they've scammed other people, they pressure them to get into these contracts and then make it impossible for them to get out. they're very persistent on getting more money out of you. i spoke to my credit card company and they advised me to reach out to you

We don't know this company, but they send us an invoice each month; they told us that they are the collection agency of the ****** Timeshare that we canceled in February 2023. We told this company that we had canceled this Timeshare with the *************************** through our phone/WhatsApp call with ********************* People (which lured us to get the Timeshare) when we arrived in ********** from ****** last February. The Timeshare people in ****** assured us of the cancellation. They were ***********************, Vice President (according to ****** and *****), ***************************** (Manager), and **************************************** (Agent), and we also emailed *********************, the finance person. Since this company has a business relationship with ***************************, we asked them to verify our cancelation to all mentioned people. We have corresponded with this company, Resorts Advantage *******, since February 2023, telling them what happened. They were ***************************, *****************************, and *********************, and recently, ***** wanted me to contact ***********************************. "The pattern of sending you from one person to another sounds familiar from the ****** people to this company."This company told us they would send it to another collection agency if we didn't pay those invoices. With that, our credit history might be affected, or other things might happen. That's why we reached out to you for you to clear our name.It was our February 14, 2023, anniversary in ******, our first trip there. Instead of enjoying our planned itinerary, they cornered us daily to get the Timeshare; they did not want to accept No. We are still traumatized by this incident until now. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and lodge a formal complaint regarding the timeshare we purchased at the *****************************, ******. We were enticed into this commitment under false pretenses and feel that we have been victims of gross misrepresentation and scams. In 2015, while vacationing with our family, we were approached by a representative who promised us free excursions if we agreed to tour a new resort. We were told that this was simply to consider the resort for future stays. However, once we arrived, we were subjected to an intensive sales pitch that lasted several hours. This included touring the facilities and meeting with multiple salespeople who made grand promises about affordable and enjoyable vacations for years to come. We naively signed up, worn down by the intense pressure and wanting to get back to our vacation. However, our promised excursion coupons never materialized. We were immediately disillusioned but hoped to make the best of the situation by utilizing our timeshare. However, despite numerous attempts, we have never been able to book a stay due to lack of availability unless booking 2-3 years in advance, which was not feasible for us. Our frustration has only grown over time. We have been unable to update our contact details or find out where to send our maintenance fees. Despite repeated calls and messages, we have received no response. We are currently unsure of how to pay our 2023 fees as we do not know where to send them. The state of the property itself seems to have deteriorated significantly, as reported by a friend who recently visited ******. This further compounds our dissatisfaction and feeling of being misled. In 2008 we fell victim to another scam related to our timeshare. We received a call from someone claiming to have a buyer interested in our timeshare. Eager to be free of this burdensome agreement, we paid nearly $20,000 in fees, only to discover that the contact had disappeared and the number was disconnected. The financial and emotional toll of this situation has been considerable. We feel deceived and taken advantage of by the ***************************** and its representatives. We have always believed in fulfilling our obligations and have never defaulted on our payments. However, we are paying for a service that we have never been able to use, and that has caused us nothing but stress and financial hardship. We have reached out to this company on multiple occasions, and our concerns have been completely ignored. We need someone to reach out to us and give us the cancellation offer we deserve.

We are formally writing this complaint against Travel ************. We continue to request to be released from this burden but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. As mentioned before, we can no longer hold onto this burden. We do not have the additional funds to handle this luxury timeshare. We have already cut back a lot and have managed to barely stay above water. Our salary is only half of what it was 2 years ago. Besides that, we have not even used this timeshare to this date. We have addressed this with Travel Smart and they have not shed one inch of concern. The fact that this company would treat their clients like this proves exactly why we want out. We are not asking for anything in return, only a mutual release from them completely. Please review our case and help us with the resolution we are seeking. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

We own a timeshare with Club Melia and have been communicating with representatives at Resorts Advantage about ending our ownership. We were given the impression that they would be assisting us with this and forwarded us to the sales department. To our surprise, we were given no assistance and were ignored after questioning why we were told they were going to assist us with canceling. This ownership has never been what we were told it would be. There were several selling points which ultimately enticed us to buy but did not come to fruition. Some examples include: We were promised this would be a great investment. Informed that the amount of points purchased would allow us to take 2 or more vacations per year. Promised the ability to sell our timeshare back to Melia should we decide to sell in the future. Informed that the points purchased were transferable to future years. We were told that we would have the ability to vacation with ease anytime, anywhere. There was a tremendous amount of pressure put on us to sign a contract. Club Melia's representatives neglected to mention that in the event of our passing not only will the timeshare pass onto our children, but the exorbitant maintenance fees would also pass on. The maintenance fees are already very high, we are scared to see how much they will increase in the future. This is not something that we want to pass onto our children as we have come to realize that this is not the great investment it was promised to be. It seems our lifetime investment has turned into nothing more than a money sump that promised a lot but, in the end, delivered very little.

On 07/04/21, my wife and I purchased this discount program for hotels at ******* ****** in ******. The purchase price was $13,900 for Resorts Advantage *** and $5,000 in an RCI Elite Rewards credit cart. We have been making monthly payments on both and today I tried logging on to make my monthly payment and was surprised to see I owe $948.96 instead of my $240.99 monthly fee. I called twice and they told me that it is a yearly maintenance fee that is owed and if I don't pay it they will report it to my credit. When we signed up for this membership I was told I would only pay this if I used the hotel which we haven't. The few times we have tried to use the discount we end up saving more if we just book on our own so we are very disappointed in the service and what we were promised as far as savings. They told us it would be around $600 for a week rental and this hasn't been the case. We were also told that we would be getting a $10,000 deposit in our bank account which we paid around $600 to set up our vacation weeks with a company that was going to sell them. We haven't seen any money in our account which was supposed to pay for our membership and when we called they said they are really behind and don't know when we will get our money. This is a scam. Please call my wife ******* regarding this situation. We want a refund for what we have paid and the debt to be eliminated.
