I placed an order through the *** website to get my passport done sooner (within 3 weeks). I paid a total of $218.05, and realizing I did not need my passport for that trip, wanted to cancel immediately. For one, I tried logging in through their website in order to request a refund through there, and it would not allow me to log in. So I attempted to reset my password, which SHOULD have sent a password reset email. They did not do so. I tried to call their support number, and it is all automated, and basically anything that has to do with a refund they refer you back to their website. I even left a voicemail after they claim they would get back to you, and it's been 10 days since with no reply. So as far as I am aware, there is no way to contact them. Even their automated emails do not work. This is a big issue because they are partnered with ***, which is a well regarded company. AAA themselves cannot do anything about refunds regarding passport applications because it is a third party they are working with. Because of govWorks ignorance, I, along with many others from what I have read, are out $200 or otherwise.Initial Complaint

On 6/9/25 I paid $209 for expedited passport processing. I did this because all of the local post office and other passport acceptance locations were booked for weeks. However once I filled out the application I realized that this Rush my passport service could not actually accept the passport application and I would still need to take it to an acceptance facility. This service was not going to provide any benefit so without downloading the application (which would make the refund impossible) I submitted a pdf form asking for a refund. It was impossible to speak to a person. No one is responding to my email about the refund. They provide no assistance other than filling out the routine government forms and charge these huge fees with no way to get a refund once someone realizes its a scam.Initial Complaint

I was trying to find an expedited way to apply passport for my son. ***** came up when I searched on ******, but it took me to this govworks website. I created an account and paid $148.95 , but was only directed to print out the application and take it to the post office for "acceptance". When I did that, the post office staff told me that I still to make an appointment and pay another expedited service fee. The fee I paid makes no difference if I want to expedite the application and I could have done the same at the postal office without paying the fee to govworks. I then tried to call govworks, but there was only automated reply, no real person whatsoever. I tried to request a refund, but there is no button on their portal where I can download a refund form, even though the automated reply said I can do that. The company is total scam! They should have made it clear in the process that we still need to make an appointment with and visit a postal office so that our application can be accepted and processed. In fact, when we go to a postal office, I doubt govworks can do anything to expedite the application, because the **** staff will just follow their own own standard or expedite process. The business description of govworks is totally inaccurate and misleading! The company should be closed down or at least disciplined. I want a full refund of the fees of $148.95 I paid for the "service". The ************ order confirmation # I received from govworks is: GW-8FEF7869B.Initial Complaint

I purchased a service that was falsely advertised as an assisted passport. This company has not delivered anything, but especially not what they have offered. This is 100% a scam. They have not provided any notifications regarding the status of my passport, and directed me to multiple passport acceptance agencies, which did not offer the service they claimed. It took over two weeks for me to be able to find a location to accept my documents. My payment information has been given to a third party. I attempted to contact the company for a refund and there is no customer support to answer the phone. Only an automated message directing me to the "customer portal" to make a refund request. There is NO option to request a refund on the customer portal, no customer service email address as an alternative either. THIS IS A SCAM, AND THE BUSINESS DID NOT DELIVER ON THE SERVICE RENDERED. I will proceed with both legal action, and filing a dispute with my bank if this is not resolved. This company is in no way associated with the government, passport agency, etc. and DOES NOT have the authorization to offer the service they are claiming to offer.Initial Complaint

June 7, ******** redirected to this webpage. I used it simply because I thought I can do the passport application at *********** which is in my neighborhood. It showed up in the location but was not able to choose it. Instead, it showed pretty much only postal offices are available to make appointment and do the in-person application required for the first application. Although I did not complete the application via this webpage, it already took $253 from my credit card, while I could apply only from the postoffice that support equivalent service. If this is not scam, what is scam?Transaction record. Placed on: Jun 7, 2025 | Order Number: GW-*********Initial Complaint

Dear BBB Team,I am filing a formal complaint against GovWorks (RushMyPassport) regarding a misleading and non-existent expedited passport service for which I paid $209.I used their service to help expedite the renewal of my daughters passport. The reason I turned to GovWorks was because I couldnt secure a timely appointment through the ***** and I believed GovWorks could help me bypass delays and expedite the process. Their website and communications claimed they would handle the expedited service, and that their barcode would serve as an indicator for prioritization. However, this was entirely ******** part of their process, I was still required to go in person to a **** location to have all documents reviewed and submittedno different than if I had done this without using GovWorks. The **** clerk confirmed that the actual expedited service was only enabled because I paid the $181 expedited fee directly to the ********************* and because the **** marked the application as suchnot because of anything GovWorks did. The clerk also confirmed that GovWorks had no role in expediting the process and openly referred to services like this as misleading or even a scam.GovWorks did not provide any service that added value or expedited the process in any way. They simply charged a fee for what amounted to form-filling assistance and falsely advertised their role in accelerating passport processing.I am requesting a full refund of the $209 I paid for this misleading and unnecessary service, and I believe GovWorks should be investigated for deceptive business practices.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely,**** ***********Initial Complaint

The website isn't very clear we're paying several sets of fees 1. For expedited passport renewal via their services ($248.00 ) 2. Paying a passport renewal to the US government as well ($211.00 ) . It's very misleading to customers. The website doesn't give an option to cancel, and it seems impossible to get in touch with a personInitial Complaint

My Boyfriend used this service and I paid almost 500 to expedite his application. When trying to pull the application, it gives us a number to call and nobody answers or returns voicemails! After giving this company $500, you would think they would return the call! It has now been 5+ months!!!Initial Complaint
