My wife and I booked a European cruise on the carnival miracle leaving ****** on August 10 of this year. We booked it November 202 since then my wife has developed some severe health issues which would make the trip very difficult for her. We decided to cancel our trip I googled carnival customer service, and the number that showed up turned out to be a company Calling themselves travel experts. Which I later found out is not their name at all their name is Wayfair destinations and they are located inMiami *******. Thinking that I was speaking to carnival customer service. I told them we needed to cancel our cruise and I was told by themthat there was a $750 per person cancellation fee. I told them I thought that was ridiculous but they reassured me. It was the only way we could cancel our trip and that I be receiving a refund of our deposit money within one to two business cycles. Theyre so upset me that I sent a letter to Carnival lines complaining About their fees. They responded telling me that they did not charge $750 per person cancellation fee, and that our cruise in fact was never canceled. I I got in touch with you before when I thought that the company name was travel experts. However, I have received notice from travel experts, saying that this happens often and that the name of the company is Wayfare destinations. their address is ******* *************************. I am seeking a full refund from them because they were not fact who they claimed they were and they did nothing other than to steal my money. Please find enclosed some verification to prove my claim. On March 25, I called who I thought was *************** to book a flight for my husband and myself. I had a a substantial amount of United points which I was trying to apply to the flight and was having difficulty on the app which is why I turned to ***************. While on the phone, the gentleman told me that he could definitely help me but that it would be a little tricky and it would take several charges in order to be able to use my points and also pay for any overage. When I got my bill, Travel Experts USA ********** out of ******* was intermingled with the charges for *************** and they were charging me $898.18. Ive called that number countless times with no response. I dont know who these people are but they clearly presented themselves as *************** and went ahead and charged me $898.18. I cant get anybody to help me get that money back not *************** and not my United credit card. I am flabbergasted. Clearly theyre taking advantage of many people.Initial Complaint

We had purchased flights through *************** and been provided seat selections for three legs of the flight. One leg of the flight on *************** did not provide seat selections. When the Iberia number was called, we were told seat selections could not be made because we hadn't paid for this leg of the trip. At this time, we did not know we were talking to Travel Experts out of *******, they were representing themselves as ***************. Like a dummy, we paid the amount quoted to us, $1,120, thinking that was necessary. We contacted *************** afterward and they told us the entire flight, all legs of the flight, were covered in our initial payment and we should not have been asked to pay more. Dear customer service, in Feb *************************** collected $850 from me to get me a refund on my **************** cancelled tickets and to date I have not received my refund. Also the numbers I had been given no longer respond and wayfare cust service number does not call back as promised. On 9/9/23 I contacted what I thought was ****** Airlines to get a refund on the last leg of my flight that was cancelled via ****** Airlines. Either I misdialed or this company (Travel Experts) intercepted the call and proceeded to "process" my refund. They charged me $400 to do so and had me reply via email that I confirm the "reservation" (even though I was not making a reservation). I spoke and received a confirmation from Alison ******************************* ************. She gave me a booking reference of 4BP5IP. I emailed on 10/4/23 as it had been more than 15 days and I still had not received my refund; received a reply that I would get the refund for sure. On 11/24/23 and 12/19/23 I emailed to request a refund and received no reply. I also called on 10/31/23 and was told my case was being sent to the "escalation team", of course, I have not heard from them. In the meantime, I filed a dispute with my credit union to get a chargeback on my debit card transaction. As of 12/26/23, they said the merchant had sent a rebuttal stating the refund policy as a reason to deny. But they (the credit union) have resubmitted my case for a 2nd attempt to collect my funds and counter the merchant's rebuttal. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THIS MERCHANT ALSO APPEARS AS WAYFARE DESTINATIONS LLC (***************************************) ON THE BBB SITE. Date of transaction- Dec. 2, 2023 $663.98 was paid to Business They committed to provide 2 tickets and represented this was THE ***** of THE TICKETS They fraudulently represented that the only viable flight was $663.98 (2 tickets) when in reality, the tickets were available for $72 each- something I learned thru a simple ****** search later the same day. The business offered a flight credit for a future flight- I believe this is not a legitimate credit, I would not do business with them again in any event, and a "credit" is of no use to me. Their advertising on ****** search was designed to look like they are a Lufthansa agent, when in reality they are a grossly overpriced travel agent who did not disclose they were just that, and charging an outrageous fee to boot. In Sep 2021, I had a scheduled round trip flight from Europe (***) to the US (***) for $1,198. Due to COVID restrictions (a new ban from entering ** from *** I was not allowed to travel and had to cancel. I contacted Lufthansa support and cancelled the booking in Aug 2021, well in advance of the flight, but never received any form of refund. I repeatedly reached out to Lufthansa, and was finally contacted in Nov 2021 by an agent- ******. ****** provided me with my e-ticket number, specific itinerary details, and contact information. By all accounts, the agent/company (later found to be Wayfare Destinations) appeared to be a reputable agent of Lufthansa, authorized to assist me with the refund of my itinerary. ****** told me that I had to pay $249 to process the refund, and after much discussion, I accepted the charge as an alternative to losing $1,198. Time passed and I repeatedly checked with ****** re the status. Multiple phone calls and emails assured me that my refund was issued and I should receive it soon. Finally it got to the point of frustration and hardship that I asked the company to also refund me the $249, to which they agreed. I have written confirmation from ****** that a refund was issued to my cc for both $1,198 and $249. The process has been ongoing for over 2 years, and I have not received a refund. My bank informed me that no refund has been initiated by the company. On my last attempt to contact ******, he was unavailable and I spoke to another agent, *****, who told me he is an agent for Wayfare Destinations in *****, **. ***** gave me a transaction ID for the refund, which I gave my bank and was again informed that no refund attempt had been made. The resolution I seek is a full refund of the $249 I was charged by Wayfare Destinations, in addition to the $1,198 that they claim to have refunded me as the amount due on the cancellation of my itinerary.Please assist me in this matter, any help will be greatly appreciated. On March 12th 2023, I was notified that my flight was canceled. I tried searching online for help with someone to talk to about this. I was directed to this webpage with an option to call an agent immediately. I wanted to get this resolved ASAP as my flight was scheduled for that day. The agent from Travel Experts told me that my flight was completely canceled and that i would need to book a new flight completely. I provided my credit card informatoin andd was charged $ 824.52.I was then contacted by the airline and they provided me with an updated flight information. I assumed it was due to the new transaction. When i returned from my trip I went ahead and tried to get compensated for the flight. I was told that the original flight was moved since the airline canceled. The second transaction is a complete scam. I have tried contacting them in regard to the purchase i made through them, They always say that someone ( a supervisor) and that never happens. I have tried many different avenues with no prevail. Date of transaction is on Dec 15, 2022. I thought my fight with Lufthansa was cancelled so I called them if it changed and they said yes and I had to pay 595$ to them to change it. I paid them with my credit card and within 4 hours I found they lied to me so I called them back to return my money and they sent an email to me that they will refund me, Here is the content of their email on December 16, 2023:Dear Customer,Best wishes for the day! According to our conversation and agreement, we are processing a refund for the reservation with the Booking code: LMDFJP at the price of $595.00 USD (including ************* The total cost of this itinerary, including all taxes and fees, is $595.00 USD for the passenger(s), which will be refunded to your card with the last four digits xxxx xxxx xxxx ****. Please respond "I Acknowledge" to confirm the refund.Now it's been 10 months and they haven't refunded me yet although they didn't provide me any service. I called them many times and they just say by the end of this month I will get paid and till now I haven't received anything from them. I also mentioned them that I will make a bad review about you but they didn't care at all. I appreciate if you help me to refund. I am a student and my salary is too low, and that money is so valuable for me.
